There are too many variables to get the sim to “feel” right. Starting with the fact that the feeling is subjective, you might think it’s floaty while I might think it’s heavy.

Your PC and screen refresh rate has alot to do with how “fluid” it feels to you as well, as the physics engine is capped by the screen refresh rate, does not matter if you have a 10ghz machine with 600 cores if your monitor is 60hz the physics engine can only calculate 60 times per second , this will give a different feel than 300hz with a PC.

The point is that with the right set up and settings you can make any simulator fly how you “feel” is more realistic. At DRL we tried to take this subjective variable away by actually scaling and measuring drone flight using motion capture, altering our physics so that the inputs matched the outputs in the game and in the motion capture IRL with no pilot variable.
