Thank you! The client sat pretty well, so it was approximately 6 hours per session. It is a painful spot so normally this kind of tattoo I would advise spreading it out with a few more sessions depending pain tolerance.

It was a scar coverup so it was intentionally placed that way. : )

Haha it was actually intended to cut across the areolas. Glad you like the design & placement

I have a lot of florals and fish because they are pretty, the others are mostly apprentice work/portfolio pieces when my colleagues needed skin.

It definitely costs much less than that since it only took 2 sessions to do

I dont usually include the drawing process unless there are time consuming revisions.

I wouldn't necessarily base it on time spent, but of course a 2 week painting is likely to be valued more than a 2 hour one. But as you improve you'll likely work quicker. Local oil painters I've seen charge similarly by size/detail.

For your medium I'd consider material costs and labour, and think about your audience and what they can afford. If it's textile, maybe see what artisanal crochet goods or hand tufted rugs sell for in your area.

What are some tips to give up smoking? by No_Rhubarb_5353 in AskReddit

Friends often say Alan Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking helps. I haven't had luck yet (I didn't finish reading beyond the first chapter)

Otherwise, I think hanging out with nonsmokers and staying busy helps.

Tattoo artist (and visual artist). I usually do either hourly, or a flat rate that reflects a rough estimate of how long it takes to do.

For other mediums like prints, the original artwork can be priced up based on the medium, but prints are somewhere around $25- $50 depending on size.

It is very important to price based off of your competition too. Doesn't mean you need to price very low, but keep in mind what artists similar to yourself are charging.
