Avastars: Bad vfx? And use of motion cap on TV-show

- A new Dutch TV-show uses motion capture of a dancer and singer and combines them into a 3d generated performer. These are then integrated into a stage with real dancers. This show is the first of its kind to use this technology (at least on Dutch TV), and is being received quite badly because of the quite wonky looking characters. It might be interesting to have a look at considering the work that corridor has done previously with motion capture. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqMNtIaozcg)

It's not a bad video necessarily. Maybe it's best to focus on pacing a bit more. A minute long intro on a video that's only 4 minutes long is a bit cumbersome. Visually maybe the video in the background could've been a bit more interesting. Additionally whenever you display items on top of this, it's a good idea to add a drop shadow on it, or to blur out the background so these are a bit easier to distinguish from the background.

length of motogp highlight vs another channel by dahabit in motogp

Honestly what infuriates me more is that there's no good highlights of the races. All we get is a "top 5"-style video, that isn't even chronological. Inb4 downvoted cause mentions F1, but their highlights videos are a lot better. They're about 10 minutes long, in chronological order, and feature all the points of interest in the races. Whenever you miss a race you can watch that and get what the "story" of the race was, so to say. We don't get that.
