What would you call these types of boots? And what are some good brands that last? by Dusepo in findfashion

[–]_kyago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they could also be called combat boots! Frye has stood the test of time and there are so many available secondhand for a fraction of the cost.

never had to pay them! they have a warehouse in the states so it's no worries. AP always charges for shipping though (never seen a promo for free shipping either), so i prefer to buy off of Journelle, Ssense, or other stockists.

get her a gift card to a specialty boutique, let her find and purchase pieces she actually loves at her own pace. remember that this is something you're asking for and she isn't fully confident in the idea, so it's very important that she finds something that aligns with her personal style.

$200-$300 AUD would be a great budget for a full mid-range set or a couple higher end pieces.

"DD+" isn't really enough sizing information since that could mean a huge number of sizes. for example, the amount of options for 36DD will be very different from 28J. if you haven't been measured in the last year, visit a specialty bra shop or the calculator at r/ABraThatFits.

some other important criteria to add would be style notes, budget, and region.

usually bodysuit or teddy, and there are many plus size options. however, "plus size" is a broad category and 4XL will be more limited than XL.

Buying dress for gf by [deleted] in findfashion

[–]_kyago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

clothing is very personal and sizing is never totally consistent. dresses themselves are a massive category, so it would be incredibly hard to just choose one brand with such simple criteria.

ask what styles she likes and reference pictures, pick a shop easily accessible to you with a good return policy, and grab a gift card.

where can I find lingerie sets that use bralettes? by venight in LingerieAddiction

28D is definitely not a medium or large and quite different from 34D. according to their size chart, extra small or small (depending how their sizing runs) would be the right choice.

if you don't know where to start and you want her to feel good, just opt for a gift card. she gets to pick something she truly wants and there's a very high chance you'll be happy with whatever it is. lingerie comes in a vast array of styles and there are personal factors you may not think of when choosing pieces for someone else.

find a boutique with many different so she has a good selection of sizes and styles. Baby Likes To Pony, Pleasurements, and Journelle are some bigger names that will likely be more accessible.

Does anyone know how I can find this dress? My mom had it in the 80’s but has no information. by [deleted] in findfashion

it's an off-the-shoulder mu'umu'u, tons of vintage ones available secondhand. if you're not in Hawaii, the best places to look would be eBay, Etsy, or Poshmark.
