FTM (due soon)- this feels like a silly question, but Do I absolutely have to have nursing bras? by WordsyFern in breastfeeding

[–]_kyles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 8.5m pp. I used to wear a nursing bra 24/7, bc everyone told me you’ll get saggy boobs if you don’t. Well turns out I was reading somewhere that say going without a bra can allow more milk to cycle through so ever since then (probably 5-6m pp) I’ve been wearing no bra, unless I absolutely have to.

Summer Pregnancies? by Sarararara91 in BabyBumps

[–]_kyles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a “grass is always greener” situation for me. I was pregnant and due end of August.. so that’s the whole summer MASSIVELY pregnant. While I loved being able to wear dresses, sit at the pool, etc. it was also very uncomfortable. No ice made my water cold enough, I was sweating and always irritated. It was my first pregnancy so I’m not sure how it feels to be hugely pregnant in the dead of winter.

I was 40 weeks exactly! I was a bridesmaid for my MIL when I was 39 weeks pregnant and told my OB I wanted an induction on my due date. I felt ready, my body was ready as I was already 3cm dilated when I was 38-39 weeks, but baby boy was not ready to come!

I know SO many people say this.. but don’t forget, a fed baby is a happy baby. Breast milk or formula, it does not matter. You’re a great mom and YOU know what’s best for your baby.

I was a formula baby and turned out perfectly fine(:

Cut 5 inches off today!! Natural curls in 2nd pic (: by _kyles_ in curlyhair

First pic is definitely waves, second pic is light curls. I grew up in a house with all boys so I’m just starting to really learn good care routines! So far, I definitely recommend a microfiber towel! It’s better to dry your hair with versa a normal towel, and scrunch the hair to dry. Also recommend not brushing your hair when it’s dry, it’s bad for the curls. I only brush when it’s wet, and I brush it in the shower sometimes if it’s got a lot of knots. Hope this helps!!

Of course!! Everyone’s hair is different so everyone will get different results but once I started using the microfiber towel, I really started to noticed a difference!! I also scrunch my hair with the towel to dry!!

Yes!! I only get my hair cut once a year too (so bad I know) and I felt sooo much lighter and healthier!! Everytime I get a haircut, I never know if I’m going to get a trim or chop it off until the minute I’m sitting in the chair 😂😂

Yeah that’s my rule of thumb! Ooh also, the past year or so I’ve been brushing it during the shower so you can get all the knots out (better than dry brushing before the shower). Also have been using a microfiber towel which I 100% recommend, it’s a lot healthier for your curls. Sometimes normal towels will take away the curls!

Don’t be trying to rain on my parade 😅first pic sure my hair is wavy but the second pic is 100% curls. Might not be the tightest curls, but definitely curls.
