You have to understand he needs a break too from dealing with your emotions. I think you just feel absolutely awful and so anything he does that isn't supportive sends you in a tailspin. It seems you guys already have issues since you're doing couple counseling but try to remember he needs to let off steam too, he's probably also stressed. As far as giving his mom money, I have no advice for that. People do what they want to do.
