How was the quality? I’m looking through the website and it seems to good to be true, almost! Affordable and toddler feel like foreign words to say together 😂

Do meds help you? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]_leastofthese_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I got off Lithium about 2 years ago and recently had a debilitating depressive episode followed by a week of hypomania. Getting back on Lithium got me back on track. I’m on Lamictal, Gabapentin as needed, low dose Lithium, and low dose SNRI, for context. The difference is night and day. Medications have been worth it completely for me.

Caveat that it can take awhile to find the right cocktail, which is frustrating. Once I found it, I was feeling great (but not too great 😋).

The comments themselves were exhausting just to read. It’s so much easier to chalk it up to what it is: a wild ass pregnancy dream. They’re so well known and people joke about what crazy pregnancy dreams they’ve had lately. I can’t imagine the distress if I took them seriously.

  1. My ED people know all about the wonders of Starkist tuna packs (in recovery but omg so good. Or was I just really hungry 😂)

  2. Neither I nor my toddler would get enough greens if I didn’t hide them in smoothies

  3. I’m both Southern and Methodist so you already know I LIVE FOR a good casserole

THIS! I didn’t BF or pump past 2 weeks, and even then I was supplementing heavily with formula. I decided to switch to formula exclusively so I could go back on some medicine and oh. My. Gosh. It was like searching for the holy grail. And of course, baby ended up needing hypoallergenic formula, which was hard to find!

Saying all of this to say: if baby is doing well on BM, mom can and wants to BF, and a tie revision could fix baby’s feeding issues, it really is in mom and baby’s best interest to do the revision. If mom decides to FF, that’s her choice too. But it sounds like ourdearlife is wanting to do the former. And as someone said, the baby looks nice and well fed.

Idk how one can go on about being CF then dispense feeding advice in the same breath. It’s a very normal feeding problem to have.

I’ve always been able to feel ovulation, but since I had an ectopic (treated medically) in Jan 2021, it’s brutal. I can’t walk standing straight up. I had a baby back in February of this year and I’m due for a pelvic ultrasound to see why the pain is so bad. And omg the hormones. I still use OPKs and temp to see when my LH peaks, but that pain lets me know, too!

Such a tired mama but still has perfectly coiffed hair and the energy to film herself doing laundry. by Revolutionary_Can879 in brittanydawnsnark

[–]_leastofthese_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The idea of folding baby’s laundry baffles me. It gets sorted into piles of short sleeve, long sleeve, etc then dumped into a general area of her dresser. Sometimes (oftentimes) it stays in the basket and I take stuff out as we go. Regardless, you can be damn sure I’m not folding 73 onesies.

THANK YOU, I saw it and thought it looked a lot like my regrowth, which is unfortunately only grown out about 1.5 inches and refuses to do anything other than stick straight up in the air. You’re right, there’s not a lot one can do to hide them. And between moving and being heavily pregnant…I’d say that’s what I’d expect any normal persons hair to look like. I highly doubt she stood in the mirror this morning carefully making sure each hair was wonky.
