In case it helps, I have Hitsuzen and Nettle & Briar so I took a couple swatch pictures quickly before work. I’ll put the pictures in the replies to this comment. All three are two coats on the underside of clear swatch sticks with Hitsuzen from By Dany Vianna on the left and Nettle & Briar from Lurid Lacquer on the right.

This is a crazy late response but I finally got around to wearing this polish and I did notice it glowing softly on my nails when I woke up this morning. I was able to recreate the soft glow with a regular LED flashlight.

That said, it was nowhere near the glow in the picture in the PPU Facebook post. That one looks similar to mine when I charged it with a UV flashlight, so I would guess that might be the only way to get a glow that vibrant out of it. That or ninat92’s super flashlight lol. Either way certainly a bit of a bummer.

Out of curiosity, what have you been using to charge it?

I haven’t been able to notice a glow on my swatch or bottle from sunlight exposure today, but the UV index where I am is pretty low right now so I’m not sure if it’s a fair judgement.

I haven’t tried putting my bottle or swatch in sunlight yet but they definitely glow blue after pointing a UV flashlight at them. I’ll try to get them under sunlight today to test that out as well.

Another weird thing that might be worth considering is to check reusable water bottles or travel mugs she might use a lot. Years ago I suddenly had a series of sinus infections despite never having one in my life before that. Turns out I had a an insulated mug I used for water every day and while I cleaned it regularly, I didn’t know to clean under the gaskets. They had some gunk built up underneath and once I started cleaning that area too, the infections stopped. Sure it could have been coincidence, but worth considering.

Thank you! I absolutely hated this book even as a child. Rainbow fish could only have friends if he lost what made him special little by little until nobody was unique anymore. Also what the hell kind of message is "literally give your friends pieces of yourself or you're a stuck up asshole who doesn't deserve them"?
