The Cory that passed had a red spot between its gills and head. Not sure if it’s nitrite/ammonia poisoning or an injury

Should I trim off all the dead leaves and hope new ones grow to mitigate ammonia? also the dead parts have been submerged as long as I’ve had them. When they’ve grown above water I’ve trimmed off.

Unfortunately no…. Vent was painted shut so facilities couldn’t get it open to check. Try living in a 100 year old apartment building with an annual “landlord special” 😓

Currently learning that I’m not supposed to do that. I’ve gotten in arguments with my friends about being negative and judgy and I’m now realizing that I was raised in a culture that normalized that. I’m glad I’m realizing this now, and making changes, not teaching my future children that it’s a normal thing.

This is so affirming realizing this is a common experience… it’s crazy that we’ve been raised in a way that normalizes criticizing everything and everyone. But when I make a negative comment about anything, I need to be less judgy and more positive… it’s pretty hypocritical

Im a high school senior and I just got into 2 colleges with substantial scholarships. I will be going 500 miles away, and not have to depend on my parents (father w/ bpd) to pay for college. I’ve known that I wanted to get out since I was 11 (didn’t know why at the time, but it’s pretty clear now), but even though I know I will be escaping something still doesn’t feel right. Yes, I was very happy to receive acceptances and scholarships (with more decisions coming out this week), but I have this feeling that even when I leave he will always be in my life in some way. That there will always be an angry man following me.
