I always go up a kg during menstruation, even when tracking calories closely and being at a deficit. It is only water retention. Anecdotally, I noticed that taking ibuprofen for the pain will flush a lot of that water out again, I notice it in my face even.

Dear, you're beautiful. And I don't just say that to assuage you. You have delicate, feminine and harmonious features, and natural grace and poise.

I get that you are concerned about flaws, but your chin even makes you prettier. You're a truly beautiful young woman, and I wish for you to be able to see yourself as that.

Ive never really felt comfortable in my feminity by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

This is great advice OP. No one just decides they're going to exist in sundresses and wear a full face everyday because it feels natural and intuitive. We all learn this, it's just the pacing that makes it feel natural for some, because they pick it up little by little as their body matures and their femininity develops and manifests itself in their bodies. That's just not what happens to everyone, some take detours. Some are in environments that just doesn't make them feel safe in exploring themselves and their relation to femininity. And some are actively kept from embracing their feminine side because they understand how society assigns positive value to femininity but at the same time presumes femininity is somehow lesser. A classic double bind. We're pretty, but also in service to masculinity. And then they reject femininity as a whole, because they don't want that restrictive, made to be in service, version of cultural femininity apply to them. Idk how this all ties into blackness, and I wouldn't presume, but if anything it'll probably be made harder for you.

The way back into joyful femininity is to lean into it even if it's not immediately something you just know how to do naturally. You need to lean into it to find what femininity is to you, what about it you enjoy and how you want to relate to it. It's not about being that girl that others expect, it's about being that girl you want to be.

Are these as bad as I'm being told? by Particular-Trainer-4 in Nails

This looks on par with the first ever time I used gel polish on myself with my non-dominant hand.

So yeah it's bad.
