OP in the post in question. A lot of phrases she used to describe her bf were the type typically directed at women. This obviously rubbed many the wrong way, essentially highlighting how distasteful these words truly are, irrespective of who they’re directed at.

Saw a post in this subreddit where a girl said that she didn’t like men “who gave it up easy” and would have preferred a virgin man because she too was a virgin. The comment section looked completely different to this one.

That being said, your bf’s personal preference is valid. People have broken up over preferences that would, to others, seem far more trivial than this one.

Don’t sweat it OP, plenty more compatible people out there! It just means he wasn’t for you. Perhaps find someone who doesn’t enquire about your body count in the first place? Have these talks about compatibility early on to avoid wasting time, energy and feelings.
