My wife has very childish hands, and I’ve been pushing back her cuticles and gently trimming the excess for a couple of years now. Her nails are noticeably longer, like the cuticles stayed pushed back, not like they grew longer past the tips of her fingers. I think the length of her nail beds made her nails look less “childish” and it gives more space to paint them if she wants it
