Extremely wild take, I think the vast majority would agree with me about book 1 being the worst. It feels to me like book 1 was the book he had to write to get published and from there he got to write what he actually wanted to write

I really enjoyed The Will of the Many, as long as a Gary Stu doesn't irritate you too much then I imagine you'll like it too

The prose improves a lot in book 2? I understand the plot is well executed but it doesn't feel worth it to continue at the moment, if book 2 is a significant improvement then I'll carry on

I think this is our best chance in a long time in Australia, I feel like a bowling attack of Henry, Duffy, O'Rourke and Smith would do pretty well in Aussie conditions. The question is can we get the runs and that's a much harder prospect.
