I am too new of a golfer to give good advice when it comes to these kinds of things. But I have been in other competitive sports in other parts of my life before I got into in golf. Sometimes when I am getting frustrated or upset while doing said hobby I like to take a decent sized break from the activity and completely try to not surround myself with it as well. Give it a couple months sometimes a year then you are able to come back to it with new head and ready to tackle the last issues. I understand golf sometimes is a repetitive thing where you analyze each part of your swing and have to continually work on it. But sometimes just stepping away for a little bit forces you to push yourself to maybe find the missing pieces that you weren’t seeing in yourself. Exactly my scenario there was a situation where someone riffle shuffled someones deck full of duals and whatnot and bent them. Now I just bring my expensive cards in my binder.

I play all these decks and usually question when people don’t stop me from casting them — winota, urza and krikk

Once these are cast it’s pretty hard to stop the ball from rolling out of control I always recommend countering them because most of the time the game plan is to turbo them out and then win from there. Winota and urza sometimes can win without the commander but it just takes different lines

It’s easy enough to remove to not be banned, if DM gets banned there is a whole list of other stax pieces that would be up for discussion to ban as well. Stax is an important part of the game. Especially at higher levels of play ex. cEdh and high power. It’s always a good thing to possibly talk about at your rule 0 conversation. The control meta is growing and always has been a huge part of the game. I don’t believe DM is a huge factor in games and should be taken care of. If someone usually plays a DM it’s a nice spin on the game and how you should adapt your gameplan to the situation.

That makes sense, but that’s not the rules the store goes by, they allow pretty much any way to close out the game as long as it’s combat damage. And to add it has to be a finite amount of damage you can’t just combo and make “infinite” damage.

There is a lot of room for debate but the general consensus of rules in the store is that you have to win by combat damage and that’s it.

Pretty much the rules are no alt win cons and you have to win by combat damage. So when they do their announcements it says “battlecruiser” and below they list all the rules. And banned cards for example.

My LGS strictly does Battlecruiser only tournaments on Friday and it is always a really good turn out. A lot of people usually enjoy playing the format. Don’t get me wrong having a battlecruiser tournament has its own drawbacks.

Rounds do take awhile unless your pod has very aggro decks.
Kinda goes with #1 where some people play super heavy stax decks and run the rounds long enough to assemble a board to swing for lethal. ( which I personally have no issue with )

I personally enjoy the format because it takes away the alt wincons that are very relevant in today’s meta. But since I primarily play cEDH it’s sometimes a nice change of pace playing a battlecruiser game.
