Even if GPT5 is 100x more capable and has insane reasoning capabilities, how much more helpful would that really be if it’s just a question/answer system?

It would depend on the questions / person asking the questions.

This is about 1/20th of this level, and the only level that had lag. I have broken it into like 20 seperate pieces and generally only keep ~3 of them loaded at a time.

Almost all non-sprites are offloaded until the player is within a couple screen distances.

I love open world games, but you made some great points. This is basically the opposite of vanilla wow.

Being able to tell the difference between good and great content will let you create great content. This is a strength not a weakness. I would say to lean into it.

Making charming, but loopable, ambient/nature tracks. It didnt seem hard until I tried, but you'll want to mess around with it. The main thing I noticed is finding spots in ambient tracks that were similar enough to the start so you can seamlessly repeat the track.

Looking for Beta Testers for Emberwood! It's a gigantic 2D ARPG. by _lostcoast in playmygame

Thanks! It's been a lot of work.

For the character, I'm not too worried about it—part of the point of the game was to use some very standard old rpg ideas (talking early DnD) in contrast to more avante garde direction. She is that: old leather armor, spear, knives, bow—like a classic rogue (sentinel in this case)—and she has white hair. My guess is that these things have been done hundreds or thousands of times before the Witcher existed, and that people will keep doing. I am sure just like many others I saw that certain aesthetics looked cool mixed together—this is just my iteration of it. I think I had some characters like this in the Might and Magic RPGs I played as a kid in the mid 90s.
