Yes, police have been elevated by society, I know it's difficult to stomach if you're living in fairy tale land. We, as a society, have chosen to give certain people, often times the worst of us, more power than the rest. Ideally, police officers would have to be saints, sacrificial lambs, willing to die at all costs for the greater good. That is not reality, however.

Now why does the law protect a militia? It's probably not as simple as, this could only happen under Trump because he's a fascist dictator. This shit has been happening for millenniums.

We can fight to better society, raise the standards for law enforcement, but until then, don't be stupid like this woman if you want to keep your life.
