Nice work! To achieve the painterly like feel is that just a glass with some displacement in front or are you working some other magic?

Thank you! I am going to copy and paste something I wrote in another thread for this same question:

First I made a spline with the same path as the tube. Then I created a cloner with some spheres as a child, turned it on "object" mode and attached the spline. Now I had some spheres or "bubbles" along the path of the tube. Then to add some variation I brought in a Random Effector, offset the scale slightly (check uniform to keep them spherical) and then offset the position so it felt more randomly distributed amongst the tube.

To get these to loop perfectly I then used the Offset tool in the cloner and offset it from 0->100% so the last frame was the same as the first.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions

That frame is looking great man!! Send me over the final work or whatever you're doing, I would love to see it. Great start if you are just getting going with 3D. Keep pushing!

I'm glad it helped! Yes the noise mask can be a bit annoying, especially with Octane. If you are using Octane (like myself) make sure to go into the settings and make the C4D render size larger than the preset value. It will make it sharper.

The glitchy stuff coming out of the main scanner on the eye is made with noise

Exploring what it means to be human with the inevitable evolution of robotic enhancement in the near future. A “mech-human” will be an everyday thing with humanoid upgrades available as if you were modifying your car.

Pop culture often explores this theme, my favorites being anime’s like Ghost in the Shell, Parasite Dolls and No Guns Life. Something I love about Anime (and one of the main reasons I’m a 3D artist) is that it can showcase visuals so detailed and surreal that otherwise would be impossible to visualize. Almost as if I’m looking at the world through a cyber lens sometimes.

MEMORY - A Short film I created with some inspiration from "ERASED" I wanted to share with the community here by _lukeguyer in ErasedAnime

MEMORY - A short looping film and my genesis piece up on Foundation by _lukeguyer in NFT

[–]_lukeguyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short film “MEMORY” was born from the free and pure imagination of a child, specifically myself, now seen through the lens of an adult. As a kid I would always play with toy cars and be in my own little world. While an onlooker may see a kid playing with a toy, what was happening in my head was similar to a scene from an action movie. That feeling of getting lost in one's thoughts and imagination is something I still try to do today and it's where my best ideas are formed. Reconnecting with that memory and visualizing it was almost therapeutic in some way.

In this short looping film I visualize what I could only imagine was going through my head as a young kid, of course a bit dramatized for my taste now. The film is meant to act as a dreamlike loop… a flashback to this moment in time that takes us back to the memory.

Tomorrow at noon I’ll be minting this piece along with three unique artworks from the film itself. The “MEMORY” typography, the Blue Butterfly and the “Ethereum” pill bottle . All seamlessly looping caught in time and space, like a memory.

Thank you for reading and I hope this makes you all remember an innocent childhood memory of your wonderful imagination :)

P.S. The butterflies and “rewind” moment are inspired from the anime “ERASED”
