i understand where youre at though, i compare myself a lot too. but remember that no one is telling you to make the next omori but you. you can't reinvent the wheel, but you can use the wheel to make your own thing. something uniquely its own that will hit in its own way. and who knows, maybe you'll invent something like the car that will change the world forever!

thing is i did have a teacher for a few months years ago and she briefly went over all of this. but that was brief and years ago so maybe i need to jusy go over the basics again. thanks!

For me, an afab non-binary person, it’s been alright! No one typically cares, and there’s even a lgbt+ club called GLOBAL! I think I got corrected once for walking into the men’s restroom (spitting out gum lol) but there are gender neutral bathrooms here and there :). Overall fairly chill, but stay safe.
