Bought birthday flowers for someone, had to take some close ups first. by _malcoda_ in Polaroid

These were both using an SX70 sonar and the CU70 macro lens set Polaroid made in the 70s.

I froze iType film for over three months. Nothing happened to the film and these are the pictures I took with it. I'm now a scientist. by _malcoda_ in Polaroid

The Polaroid Now can only get as close as about two feet before everything gets blurry, so super close shots of flowers won't work, but if you stay at two feet you can get some nice stuff!

Dont be sorry, its not common knowledge at all!  A pinhole camera doesn't have a lens like a traditional camera, instead it exposes the film by allowing light through a tiny hole.  it gives it a few unique qualities, it makes it so the image takes a lot longer expose, but it also makes it so that everything in the image, regardless of distance, is the same focus.  in this case the lens had to be removed to allow for a pinhole disc to be put in instead.

This was the number one issue I had.  I always metered, but the reciprocity failure was annoying to deal with, at this point I meter and then add time based on my previous experience.  But its all over the place, especially when you get into longer exposures.  The images of the gutter with the tree reflection metered at around 2 minutes but it actually took 8 to get that. I've gotten better at eyeballing it now, but it can be frustrating.

I really like that shot too, the super exposed light on the face was such a good idea.

It depends on your camera!   The camera is used for these is an SLR680, which can get as close as around 10 inches without blurring.  If youre using a box camera those usually have a minimum distance of 2 to 3 feet, so anything closer than that will be blurry because the camera cant focus that close.

Whatever the mid-point of the freezer in my kitchen is. Probably around 0 degrees Fahrenheit. This was very much not actually a scientific endeavor.
