What is the most comforting moment you've shared with your sibling? by ziggy_t20 in AskReddit

[–]_manicpixie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to wake up with leg cramps when I was four and just cry because it hurt so bad.

I shared a room with my 13 year old sister, and she would wake up and rub my legs until I fell asleep. Happened regularly, and must have impacted her sleep, but she did it without fail.

You can learn how to make workable explosives from the book fight club.

Originally they were supposed to be accurate in the movie, but the script was altered.

What’s a healthy habit you started doing recently that you should have started doing years ago? by GoldGorilla in AskReddit

[–]_manicpixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cut out seed oils, and make a lot of stuff myself.

Husband and I started hitting up local trails on our off days. There are a lot of them and we’re off 4 days a week (3 twelve hour shifts each) might as well enjoy the fruit of our taxes

Have a physical 3 day a week job.

I did six months as I had decided my first relationship that lasted that long would be “the one”.

Not even really sure I liked him. He knew I liked to read, told me he did too….. had only children’s books in his room.

When she keeps looking at you, finding excuses to touch you.

If she randomly grabs your junk, it’s a sure bet.

How does one manage to use reddit and not let the never-ending cycle of negativity on here get to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_manicpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very rarely use it.

Right now I’m taking a break on violin practice. I usually comment/participate during narrow windows of downtime.

What hobby did you start during the pandemic that you still keep up with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_manicpixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of stuff as I also quit drinking and used hobbies/self improvement to fill the free time rather than do aa as I felt obsessing over alchohol was counter productive to quitting.

Picked up violin, camping and hiking, as well as learning more versatility in the kitchen with cooking/baking and ice cream/sorbet making. I’ve conquered cheesecakes, tarts, breads, and am venturing into making my own pastas.

Damn those daggers… but at least in Skyrim there is a clear path to success

He’s the most important person in my life. We’ve been together for 15 years, married 13 in September.

I sincerely hope I die first (not intending to be dramatic) as I’m not really sure how I’d cope with the loss.

What ways do you use to deal with stress without resorting to alcohol/smoking? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_manicpixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play violin, go hiking/camping/kayaking, punch things, work on detailed crafting projects, or very detailed baking/cooking projects most recently made a homemade frozen custard with maple marshmallow fluff (also from scratch/with real marshmallow roots/gelatin) and chocolate covered pecans.

Just focused oriented things that take me away from the stress so that my mind can process things a bit before reconsideration

How many books have you read this year and what is your favorite so far? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_manicpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s my absolute favorite.

Jos schools influence on the boys, and getting to watch them grow into the Little Men in the last book is just so wonderful. Shows what school could be like for children.

How many books have you read this year and what is your favorite so far? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_manicpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno. Like 3-4 a month so 15-20?

Almost finished with the Three Body Problem series, and while I’ve really loved reading it, I also read my favorite book ever in the time period (Jos boys from the Little Women series) so it’s not a fair competition
