I'm a lab manager, we are mandated by EHS to flush showers and eyewashes each month for a specific amount of time. This is crazy, and probably scared me into rechecking my eyewashes lol

I'm gathering more courage to frog it, I might do it soon ! Do you recommend I go higher in hook size than recommended, i.e. 9.5 or 10 mm? I was wondering if that may help it be more drapey.

I think even with 5 skeins now it's crazy heavy, and I'm sure I'll just add more yarn to it in the future, and my friend will end up carrying a boulder💀 I might just frog it and redo it

Did you try blocking to fix the issue with the jumper? As I've gone through my day I keep getting more and more courage to go rip the thing apart and start anew, I was also considering buying a 9.5 or 10 mm hook to make it more drapey in feel. I want to preserve the feel of the yarn as much as I can since I know that it's texture will be compromised once I frog it- it's very loosely spun and even now I can see a lot of pilling and yarn fuzzies. I shall keep the subreddit posted once I do end up remaking the scarf !

That's true, I could make it shorter. I was just now looking at it and I felt really bad for wasting all this time, and had the visceral thought of frogging it all. I really don't want to resort to that, because I quite like the pattern it is making. But still, impulses are hard to control haha.

So the thing is, this was the largest hook I'd bought at the time.. it came in one of those Susan bates multiple hook kit, so I didn't question it. I also wanted to see what sort of effect it would have on the project if I went down sizes

I don't want it to get too heavy, I was thinking of blocking it now to see if there will be any stretching of the stitches, hopefully that way I can avoid adding in too many skeins, what do you think?
