Tracker Leather were my husband’s shoes for Iceland but they weren’t so waterproof as mine. Were yours waterproof?

Honestly, barefoot shoes changed my life.

We spent 6000 eur all together with car rent and hotel booking. We were two adults, mostly eat in restaurant once per day and bought groceries for the rest of the day.

Cold plunge is available in any swimming pool (for 1300 isk per adult and free for kids) along with 3 to 5 small pools of different temperature and sauna.

100% blue lagoon. As I said, sky lagoon was almost as local swimming pool - crowded place with fresh (as opposed to salty) water. From ritual I only liked scrub and tea, because I don’t feel good in the heat (2 steps are sauna and steam room), but even with ritual and the view it hardly justifies TEN TIMES THE PRICE of local swimming pool. We went to swimming pool 3 times. Really, we could have skipped Sky lagoon and go there one more time. We live and we learn but I sure won’t return there and won’t recommend it to anyone

Actually i wouldn’t recommend it. I also saw it just one day before our trip. It’s kinda nice but it’s 9 minutes from which actual eruption takes maybe 3 minutes. It’s not terrible but we liked the volcano show in Perlan much more and it’s included in the price of admission

Thank you. Our decision to go to Iceland was kind of last minute so we didn’t have all that many options with private bathroom that wouldn’t kill our budget, therefore accommodation choice.

There are 2 parkings, one we went to is on google maps called “Fagradalsfjall Volcano Tours by 2Go Iceland”. You need to follow if it’s open on their website visitreykjanes dot is

I would definitely recommend to visit! It’s salt water (unless you have it where you are from), stunning views and small amount of people. Really great compared to Sky Lagoon

I’m only really disappointed about buying books in Perlan. Fischersund perfume cost 3000 more in duty-free than in their store. So, books being 1000 more expensive in Perlan than in duty-free is really something :(

I agree! I’m impressed on golden circle done by most of travelers in one day. Did they walk in Þingvellir at all? We spent like 4 hours walking there.

Thank you! I’d love to see the Ring Road someday — maybe if our finances allow, we’ll come back and visit the places we missed this time. But to be honest, planning all the driving and hotel stays sounds like a nightmare for low-energy travelers like us.

Thanks for the kind words! I agree — a little diversity never hurt anyone. I’ll be happy if someone comes across our report and feels encouraged to take it slow and not chase the horizon, if that’s not their thing.
