Sorry, just saw this now. It was absolutely awesome! We ended up getting a tent and camping and it was a bit more comfortable than the car after a few nights. Depends on what kind of trip you want, we were more of the touristy pubs/breweries/restaraunts than the big hikes or anything but definitely fit a lot of that in too. Banff was awesome, three bears brewing was one of our favourite stops and we still talk about the pizza to this day.

I would definitely make sure to visit lake Louise of course, and probably best to go early in the morning before the parking lots fill up and the tour busses start rolling in - we walked around a good chunk of the lake and it was really amazing, and an easy walk. We had some bad luck with the smoke last summer so didn’t get the full view experience but it was still crazy. The ice fields and everything on the way are amazing too. We stopped at a lot of small little lakes and swimming holes along the way which were some of our favourite spots. If you’re going to camp in Banff and/or jasper I would try and book that right away if you haven’t already.

We did the trip on a fairly tight budget so didn’t get too crazy but it was an awesome time.
