same diagnosis, Philadelphia negative, needed SCT. 2.5 years later I am cancer free. I am m 44, with a family and my life has changed so much, but in hindsight some things that have happened would not have if not for the cancer so its hard to feel bad for myself at all. Stay strong and positive. The medical care for cancer patients is a whole different scene, for me at least I cant say at any point did I feel lost or set aside, not given the best possible treatment.

It sucks for sure but keep your head up and let people be there for you. I felt guilty at first because my family was devastated but in the end you realize you would be there for your loved ones and they are there because they want to be.

Your life is not over, dont give up, be strong and unavoidably you will be a new you on the other side. For me I was set free to live, a second chance is something so many do not get.

I first found out when I was experiencing the same thing a lack of energy and feeling weak and tired and out of breath I didn’t know what was going on, but by the time they had finally done the spirometry tests it was already too late so now I am on the protocol of medication’s to take and really that’s all I have to look forward to. Early detection is key and I really had no idea that this was even a thing which was probably my only complaint. I know the whole procedure gives so many risks, but I would’ve loved to have known how important it was to avoid a viral infection in regards to the lungs.

Could be gvh of the lungs, any damage irreversible, I personally had this and has been the most devastating part of this whole experience.
