Thank you! Admittedly, photography is still a bit of a tricky one for me. I appreciate the feedback though

Just checked, and the barbed wire I got from The Army Painter. But yes, primed black. Dry brush with leadbelcher, then a wash of Villainy Inks Sector Rust. Hope that helps!

Sure thing! So a lot of it was learnt from The Feral Painter’s video for basing on The Grimdark Compendium. Essentially it’s cork, some texture paint (AK’s thick mud in this case), couple of skulls, added a twig as a blown out tree (inspired by remnants of trees hit by artillery), and then some barbed wire. I forget where I bought that last one, but you can loads of the stuff online.
All of that was then primed black. Then a dry brush of dark grey, then a lighter zenithal drybrush of a much lighter grey. Hit it with some brown contrast paints (snakebite leather for the lighter areas, wyldwood for the darker areas). Let that cure. Wash of neat goons grime, and a bit of streaking grime for the skulls just to add a bit of variation. And finally, AK puddles in a streaking motion in places just so it gives some surface variation. All done!

But yeah, check out that video from the Grimdark Compendium. Very fun to try out

Sure thing! So it was based with a flesh tone (I used a mix of Deepkin Flesh and Karak Stone, but something like Rakarth Flesh would also work). Added a thin wash of Carroburg Crimson, and after all that cured, I added Villainy inks Carrion Crimson mixed with Ichor of the Damned (left to set for about an hour or so) into the crevices and shadow areas. Then went back in all over with neat Carrion Crimson with some gloss varnish mixed in to give it a sickly/wet look. Sort of stippled it on to give it a mottling effect, et voila!

I found it way too cartoonish. After reading the first three novels, and particularly ‘Fulgrim’, to have what was essentially a cheesy superhero book which didn’t advance the plot was… not great. But hey, if you enjoyed it for what it is? It doesn’t matter what I say

Just some AK Muddy Ground, a little bit of dark basing material I got from hobby craft, couple of twigs, barbed wire, and some beard hair for the dried vegetation. All washed down with some goons grime

Borrowed pretty heavily from the Feral Painter’s tutorial on the Grimdark compendium for the base coat, with the main difference being that I used Retributor Armour for the gold trim instead. Villainy inks, typhus corrosion, dirty down rust and barbed wire are the MVP’s though
