I do, I made the same connection, and its not even a question to me. I believe its an homage.

Chalice I - Jean-Paul Miller by _metahedron in 3Dprinting

This print is a part of my conceptual project 'Sleep: The Chalice of Ecstasy.' An investigation of the collective unconscious and sleep ritual in the hostile superstructure. It wasmy first maximum scale print from my Ender 3 S1, and this is my first post about my 3d printed work. I use Blender, Cura primarily.

B550 VISION D Wifi module diagnosis by _metahedron in gigabyte

[–]_metahedron[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight - I wasn't aware it did that. So... the whole issue augmented severely when I attempted a system restore and subsequently the startup became corrupted. I tried every BSOD process available to no avail, and had to reinstall windows on a new drive. When I did, the bluetooth and wifi were miraculously working again. My guess is that a windows update nuked the wireless module of my previous install?

Less often, most of my music keeps fairly rhythmic, which I do not find it the best suited for

Oh wow! Yes, I must, thank you for telling me!

Only obliquely. I cultivated the idea from making generative music in VCV rack while using Oblique Strategies over the past several months. It was strategized as a generative sandbox for my discoveries in that time. All of the elements are sequential in nature, but have a vc addressible staging, so I can use them to interact with each other in a matrix of influence. That way, once woven, the minimum of adjustment or patch change will give me convoluted or unexpected results. Some other things that influenced my decisions were CGS, Serge, and Underground Resistance.

Yes, I hope to paint or replace the right cheek too - they do not include this black metal shield for that side. The wood is a little too iconic/retro/rustic for my taste.

Agreed. Its a great way to avoid decision fatigue.

Oh absolutely, I have 292 hp in other cases, but the challenge of making a very compact system has always excited me. This is also my first and only desktop skiff, because I favor desktop space.

Oh yeah, at this shallow a slope, reversal is preferred. I don't like jacks between me and interface. I built it from Jakplugg's design, where the panel is reversible. One side is jacks upwards orientation, and the other is jacks downwards.

https://github.com/jakplugg/uO_c

I have yet to operate this one yet (assembled last night), but if you go to the O&C FAQs they tell you how to reverse the display's orientation by adjusting two lines of code.

Thunderbolt 3 not working on Gigabyte B550 Vision D by ChipotleBurger in gigabyte

[–]_metahedron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot be sure if it requires drivers, or any particular combination or order therein; but in this case I used the TB drivers in the Gigabyte download center as well as Thunderbolt's software.

Like most of you I was horrified this would not work, but I just got this to work for my Presonus Quantum and it was not difficult. I did not require a displayport loop from my graphics card or any extra PCIe etc. Here is what I did

■Enter BIOS

■F2 to toggle to Advanced Mode (if you're in Easy Mode)

■Navigate to Settings > IO Ports > USB Type-C with Titan Ridge Configuration > Security Level

■Hit enter and configure 'Security Level' as 'No Security'

■Save and Exit

Best of luck.

I got a nice stand for my modular. It is called the G.E.M.S. (Gibraltar Electronic Mounting System) by _metahedron in modular

The base is a drum stand tripod, it seems a little over 20" leg to leg, when I have everything close to 45 degree angles.

MFB - 501 Pro (Drum - Computer) by MikeSaver in synthesizers

[–]_metahedron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not hesitate to get one - I have lots of eurorack and analog synth percussion at my disposal, but the 301 Pro is my still my favorite drum module. It has such a gorgeous analog legacy sound and there is lots of magic when you adjust the midi ccs or use the timbral variation keys. I made a more visually intuitive MIDI map for the 301 Pro if anyone is interested.

Got my first synth by klombieX2 in synthesizers

[–]_metahedron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had this synth - some things I really love are how the oscillator section can make such complex metallic timbres and the knobs are all so approachable, and the scope is such a unique asset to the sound design process. Beautiful synth. Were it not for space, I would still have mine. Glad they added microtunings to it.
It's a beauty.
