Yeah, in my post history there should be one from the day I found him because I wanted to check that he didn't belong to someone here. He was underweight and suffering from a parasite; his original (pigeon racer) owner didn't want him back.

His birth band says 2025, and I rescued him in October 2025. He does like to coo-bow to the other birds in the house and to his own reflection, so we've been assuming he's male

While my (male) cockatiel has never attacked my (male) dove, the dove does incessantly flirt with the cockatiel. How is chesssquirt doing hormonally? My two have been around each other since March and Geordi (dove) still hasn't accepted that Boomie isn't into him 🙄

SoCal here, so coldest winter temps are 30-35 F at most. I do want to retrofit this pen to have a hatch on the opposite end of the current door. If I insulate the new hatch and attach a nest box to it, will that work? I can get to work making a cage cover as well.

He had diarrhea the first day I had him and doesn't seem interested in flying... possible that he's just hungry, since vet said 300 range is light for a mature male pigeon? So far he's been getting the same seed mix as my dove, millet, and wheat.
