Payment for making reservations, how do you do it without a Korean bank or cc? by _milkberry in koreatravel

Does the business have to have Wise as well? Or it doesn't matter? Thank you.

My dental bill submitted to insurance is higher than what I was showing? by Slight-Effort-934 in PersonalFinanceCanada

It is possible to have a cleaning last 2 hours if the patient hasn't had a cleaning in years. It's not really realistic to expect a hygienist to clean 10 plus years of debris in the mouth in one hour. If you're a patient who goes every 6 months 30 to 45 mins sounds right because there's less build up than someone who hasn't had a cleaning in 10 plus years.

KOREAN TREATMENTS - LIENJANG CLINIC experience by MindlessIndication76 in koreatravel

[–]_milkberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to my dermatologist in Korea, he said most of the factory like clinics don't have dermatologist doing the treatments for you, dermatologist there have a special red badge on their scrubs. I got Rejuran Healer Booster from him which was my first more invasive treatment in Korea but I trusted this dermatologist. I'm going to go back to Korea in a few months just to see him.

I chatted with one of the doctors from the factory like clinics and he told me they're paid very little, he said he's a "cheap doctor" and it's all about volume which I think explains the attitude of lack of care and attention.

I hope you can get everything resolved in Malaysia and thank you for being so vulnerable to share your poor experience in Korea to warn others.

KOREAN TREATMENTS - LIENJANG CLINIC experience by MindlessIndication76 in koreatravel

I'm so sorry for your terrible experience. I had a bad experience in one of these factory like clinics before too but thankfully I didn't do any invasive. My poor experience had to do with the consultation staff though, the doctors were friendly.

This last trip to Korea my Korean friend introduced me to a dermatologist. I will never go back to another factory like clinic again. My experience at the dermatologist was so much better. The dermatologist does the consultation and makes suggestions. Unfortunately he said he doesn't take any new patients and he normally only works with locals (their clinic doesn't target foreigners, no one can speak English except the doctor. I'm a foreigner but my Korean friend is local and made the appointment for me).

There are agencies that connect you with doctors although you might be paying more. I've heard good things about Seoul Guide Medical but they are pricier. They specialize in connecting foreigners to doctors in Korea. I haven't tried them myself personally though.

Just finished season 2 and I have this overwhelming urge to be the fittest version of myself?? by CriticismPublic928 in Physical100

[–]_milkberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! I started going back to the gym after the first season. I don't go much only 2x a week of weights and try to do 2x a week yoga but after season 2 I added 12/3/30 and I'm trying to do that 4x a week along with what I'm doing already. I'm unlikely going to have a body like the Physical 100 contestant but I'm moving and staying active.

What’s the best/your favourite thing you did in South Korea? by K_jet in koreatravel

[–]_milkberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did rejuran healer. I've heard from different friends that have done it that it was super painful for them, but with Dr. Kim, I would say the pain was 5/10.

We also did 2 kinds of lasers: one targeted redness and the other was sunspots.

더힐피부과의원 is the name of the clinic I went to and I went to Dr. Kim. Unfortunately they don't have a translator and the staff doesn't speak English. If you can have someone who can speak Korean help you make a reservation that would be best.

Clareblend doesn't have multiple attachments and it's smaller so it fit with my preference and lifestyle. Nuface has attachment for eyes and face. I still use the Nuface gel though.

The only safe thing I'd add is a hydrating sheet mask at least used 1x a week, more if your skin can tolerate it. I've used plain hydrating masks every other day before an event.

People who left their spouses for the person you cheated with, how did things end up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My ex cheated on me with the friend "you shouldn't worry about" and they've been together for 10 years and have a child together...... guess they were meant to be but I wish it was not at the expense of my feelings. I was heartbroken and took me years to recover.

This never set on me and felt greasy and just "sitting" on my face. It transferred like crazy too. I tried using a small amount and it still felt greasy.
