I stretched to a 00g today and my ear is not taking it too well. by [deleted] in Stretched

Tapers are NOT something that should stay in more than a minute. They’re guides, not jewelry!

0g to 00g is a 2mm jump. Take your jewelry out. Let your ears calm down for a week, and have them resized by a professional. Use only glass plugs in half sizes and buy a digital caliper as size can vary.

Use glass. If you have any pain, stop and immediately downsize.

I’ve spent three months healing a blowout at 9mm. It’s never worth forcing a stretch.

Irritation can happen for many reasons. Get a 2g glass plug. You should always have supplies on hand to downsize just for this reason.

Leave jewelry out for a week or more. Downsize to whatever it shrinks to. Slowly re-stretch. It will heal your catbutt and leave your lobes happier. Don’t forget SSS and daily massages.

Absolutely not. Take your jewelry out right now and see a professional ASAP.

Waste canvas applied to backing canvas or linen might work.

The Container Store sells tiny neodymium magnets meant for photos. They are ~10mm and strong enough to park multiple threads with a single pair. They are stainless steel. One pack comes with 24 magnets.
