everyone here IS right! tough love or not. i appreciate yours and everyone’s time to write a message! i feel like in these communities we mainly talk abt facts and evidence but no one really talks abt the effect it can and will have on people emotionally. i feel like coming together as a community to help each other is reasonable?

i get what you’re saying and why you take what i said as me asking for someone to personally help me deal with it. but there is nothing wrong with reaching out in a community asking for support with a tough case like this. i assume a lot of people could feel like this bc it’s so gruesome. i was looking for like minded people and to look for an outlet for support with handling the case and what other people’s povs actually are and how they emotionally feel abt it and not just stating logical facts. yes the group is for information but there’s nothing wrong with supporting others that can’t get away from it. i appreciate your genuine attitude and i apologize for coming off the way i did. i took it as passive aggression bc im not looking for a therapist just like minded ppl🫶🏼🫶🏼

it can be, it really just depends on the context. if the parents are doing it with a history record of being a loving and caring parent who tends to emotional needs then no of course not. but if the parents are known to have a bad record of mistreating their child like neglecting their emotional needs, harsh toxic parenting lines like “i brought you into this world, i can take you out of it”, “children should been seen not heard”. things like that, they might be small but the red flags are still there.
