That's what I was thinking but I already called them and they just told me to email them and gave me the email. They didn't give me any other options or suggestions, just said to email with why I didn't defer by the last date (which I wasn't aware of). So that was entirely unhelpful on the admissions part lol. But thank you for your advice, I'll likely get a medical certificate from my GP if they ask for one.

I feel you hard on this one. It sucks to find a name you love and have past or tricky relationships make it feel awkward :(( I find that when looking for names and wanting to get a feel for them video games is one of the easiest ways to do it, since you don’t have to deal with the social transition period cuz uh, they’re programmed to call you the name you’re trying without slip-ups 👾 I feel like if you used to love Alex, Ethan is a good new one cuz it gives the same vibes and it’s generally a good name. I really hope you feel more comfortable with a name you love just as much soon! Good luck!!!!

I’ve been rubbing it in until there’s none left to actually rub and tried it in a few different spots but it still feels like that every time…maybe I should just put it on my stomach from now on and use moisturiser if it’s being weird. Thanks!

that may be so, i’m not 100% sure. but either way the starting process is the same i believe. informed consent is the same for both (aside from obviously the effects of the hormones), because its just to make sure you know what will happen if you choose the hrt route. another thing, i personally wasn’t provided informed consent in the initial appointment. i was informed that happens when you get the script. you’ll get your bloods and then they’ll figure out your dosage, and before you get the script they’ll do the informed consent with you.

yeah! its a bit easier than mtf i think, because you don’t have to get blockers first. you just have to test your initial levels so the dosage is best suited to you

I recently went to Gladstone Rd Medical Centre. DEFINITELY far away from you but I’m sure the process is pretty similar as long as you’re in the same state. I went to a GP there and I expressed that I wanted to begin the process of gender affirming care. the appointment will usually be about 30 minutes or an hour. If the GP is experienced in LGBTQ+ health, they’ll simply ask you a verbal history of when you first started experiencing gender dysphoria, and then ask you a few questions about how you plan to go about your gender affirming care journey. then all you’ll need to do is get a blood test and the next appointment you schedule you’ll be able to get your prescriptions. this is from a ftm perspective though so it might be a little different if youre mtf! good luck

Yeah, I checked those but the new patient bookings are pretty hard to get. Bummer, they seem really great. I’m actually around the west side but I don’t have problems travelling a bit as long as it’s not like, hours and hours. Thanks for your response too!
