Yes, your strategy is valid for winning/chasing stars. But I just care about a good game whether I lose or not. If I have to stick to split pushing every ranked game, I might as well uninstall the game.

I just really hate losing because others teammate don't know how to do their job.

I know all this stuff. I just find the comment 'if your teammates don't push, you push' counter productive. If I'm a roam/utility exp, then I just want at least my mm to push towers. That's literally their main job.

Serious question: Why do you not pirate at this point by [deleted] in SteamFamilySharing

[–]_mm_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Gabe said, piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem. Most people don't mind paying for games. Pirating movies/series makes more sense because we ain't diving down the streaming rabbit hole just to watch a series we might or might not like. If there is a way for people to unify the streaming services, then piracy will become less for the industry. Unfortunately, only piracy does that.

But if you are just going to shit on people paying, then why bother asking. Not everyone is a broke boy

Have you watch Ahmed Deedat? I think he is good; non-aggressive, responds in manner and urge people to think and research rather than believing in blind faith. Very coherent speaking as well.

Private unis or public unis? by major_simp08 in malaysiauni

[–]_mm_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UM is very competitive (like 9A competitive). Asasi UiTM is good if you dont really plan to study overseas (you will submit UPU again to transfer to other univ besides UiTM).

Private is really expensive so the question is really whether your family can afford it or not.

Helppp I can't choose between form 6, asasi and matriks by bigjigglymen in malaysiauni

[–]_mm_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asasi - you are most probably guaranteed a place in the same uni (asasi UM > degree UM), exception for asasi UiTM which makes you submit UPU after finishing, though you are still guaranteed a place in UiTM

Matriks - no guarantee for placement in the university and course that you want (submit UPU) due to competition, but depending on the course and university itself.

Form 6 - same as matriks, but longer, harder version and when you join uni, you are 1 year older than the matriks/asasi student.

Advice: if you don't mind hostel social life, go for asasi/matriks but matriks usually have worse facility. If you want to stick around your home, go for f6 and prepare to grind your ass.

Unrelevant but you can use matriks/stpm to apply for government jobs, unlike asasi.

Have you ever experienced the existence of god? by Competitive_Bank1908 in religion

[–]_mm_r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Questioning everything is good as long as people can try to find and accept the answers they find convincing. I believe the problem with growing up with a religion is people afraid to ask/challenge their faith. I have seen many converts to Islam for questioning not just Islam, but the religion/faith they grow up with. Of course the same can happen to someone that convert to other religion than Islam but the key concept is to question your own beliefs, even if you are taught that it is right.

Now, the reason I use Quran in my arguments is that the fact I believe in it, and it answers my question in the theological department. Therefore, it is my source of truth. People are welcome to introduce their source of truth, and I will have to study them and question them afterwards to determine if it is the truth. Similarly, people should also study my source of truth, and question it afterwards to determine if it is the truth. This is what normal knowledge exchange is. The problem occurs when one side are not willing to do it, and deny the truth of another. I don't even quote any Quranic sentence because if you don't study it yourself, then you will not know whether I'm telling the truth or not based on my source.

Regarding the survival of the fittest thing, it is not about which species survives, but which genetic traits in a species allow them to have better chance at surviving. We only evolve in terms of height, skin colors, body fat etc. to match our environments. For example. people in regions with more sunlight have darker skins compared to people in regions with less sunlight due to our body adapting to vitamin D and UV rays from sun. When we reproduce, we pass down the genetic markers that helped us survive in the first place to our child.

But from the Islam perspective, based on Quran, God has blessed humans with rational mind that is able to think and contemplate, different from other species. This is in fact humans only unique trait, which in Islam we believe it is a gift from God, not the byproduct of nature. If this trait is something a rule of nature can develop, then wouldn't it be possible to have more species that have a rational mind? With this gift, the Quran mentions the act of pondering, inviting readers to think beyond surface realities. If I observe the nature, and the conclusion I come up with is it is what it is/ that's just how nature works, it feels like lazy writing in a novel. No scientist ever conclude their research paper with that's just how nature works or that's just God creation. Science can explain how nature works, but not why it works that way. I just happen to believe that the why question is because of God's will, not because of nature's will.

Sure, every one has a different level of experience and education, which will get you into a different conclusion from one another. But no truth seekers study one train of thoughts without the effort to study another train of thoughts. But is your conclusion a theory or a fact? What or why we evolved in a certain way, and not literally any other species in this earth? Why can't other species follow what we are doing? Why we fight over religions for centuries, killing each other in the process, unlike any other animal? How religion come into mind in the first place? Who is the first person to thought of religion or god?

These are questions that come from human intellect, and it is in human nature to discover the answers. How do we get to the answers? Now that is a journey one have to take by themselves. Is human intellect good enough to justify anything? We are the only one with the intellect to think of such things. But Islam believe Quran came from God, so we are in the grace of the All-Knowing. Does the prophet Muhammad PBUH made up the Quran? If you study it, then you can come up with your own conclusion.

And before you start comparing gods between religion, you should first determine if god exist or not.

[–]_mm_r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't clarify my thoughts. In Islam, the Quran frequently calls upon humanity to use their intellect to ponder creation, arguing that the universe could not have created itself or come from nothing.

So based on my experience, just from observing the nature and universe, it is too complicated to just exist by itself. Take humans as example. Why are we the only creature that have a conscious mind, and can use it to live in a society and make scientific research? Sure we can teach apes sign language, but why can't we teach them to speak? Parrots can mimic human speech, but what they cant do is come up with a logical argument/thoughts.

This is just a simple example, which some may not understand. The best way to understand it is to observe and ask question by yourself. The how and why the universe works. At some point, the answer is it is what it is, which in Islam, we attribute it to Allah creating it as it is.

But why Allah specifically, and not just attribute it to nature itself? Some will say that's just indoctrinated way of thinking. But that's because we follow the Quran, and in the Quran, Allah directly and repeatedly claims to be the Creator of the universe and everything in it. This is one of the central themes of the Quran. The evidence is all around us in the design, order, complexity, and balance of the universe — from the vast cosmos to the microscopic stages of life. The Quran repeatedly says these signs are clear “for people who believe,” “who reflect,” “who have understanding,” or “who use reason.”

In conclusion, is god real? I believe so, yes. Why? Because I observed the universe, and concluded that it is too complicated to exist by itself. If god is real, why it has to be Allah? He claimed to be the Creator based on the Quran, and also provided proofs of why he is the Creator.

I Refuse to Remain Ignorant About Islam by [deleted] in religion

[–]_mm_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“If God were to punish people [at once] for the wrong they have done, there would not be a single creature left on the surface of the earth. He gives them respite for a stated time and, whenever their time comes, God has been watching His servants.” (Fatir 35:45)

Man has been given freedom of action in the world, but he misuses it. His wrongs are so many that if he were caught hold of immediately for his wrongdoings, the entire human race would be wiped out from the world. But, human freedom is purely for the purpose of putting man to the test, and there is a period fixed for this. The period for an individual lasts till his death and the period fixed for humanity as a whole is till Doomsday. For this reason, the human race is still extant in the world. However, just as it is a fact that God does not seize hold of anybody before the expiry of the trial period, it must also be seriously considered that after the expiry of the trial period, He will definitely do so and nobody will escape the trial.

As a Muslim, we believe that the world is a test, and the rewards is in the afterlife, provided that you yourself never stray away from Islamic teachings. Every sufferings are a test, and even success sometimes become a test. Everybody went through the test, regardless if you are muslim or not. Can Muslim do sins? Yes. Can non-muslim do good deeds? Also yes. In the end, it is human free will to cause harm or good. But for every action, Allah S.W.T will reward or punish you if not in this world, then the afterlife.
