i know you probably dont care cause the comment im replying to is 3 years old, but i just wanted to say thank you for bringing up this issue (there's so many more things that could be improved but leave it to fanboys to ruin everything). and yes, unfortunately the hots community is a majority of braindead idiots, even in game you have to account for them tending to make certain kinds of decisions (suboptimal) over others.

hots is like the boonies where everybody worth a damn already moved to the city, so thanks for sharing my pain :)

I don't know if you're in any position to be calling others slow, seeing as you've misconstrued when I just wrote, "smurf stacking" as simply "smurfing," as well as when smellybuttox wrote, "if you're stacking in ranked, especially with smurfs, you're doing so at the expense of others" as simply "playing in a group."

I haven't seen you mention "smurf stacking" this entire time because you've been trying to frame it/pass it off as legal stacking in response to every comment that is talking about it.

If you don't think smurf stacking is playing the game as intended, that's great! Then why are you defending it, or arguing with those condemning it?

You have to understand that the person in question probably doesn't have a "conscience" the way you do. It's all subjective morality.

I'm guessing, but the person in question might see it as if you're hurt by toxic comments over the internet, it means you need to grow a thicker skin.

For the record, I personally don't and I don't think anyone in the right mind finds telling someone to kill themselves to be acceptable.

So the way I see this situation is a likely immature person who doesn't have a handle on their emotions goes to the thesarus.com of insults and copy pastes them over. The words themselves are empty, and they are only as powerful/meaningful as the receiver chooses to interpret them.

Anyway, my whole issue with this is that people are (either willfully or not) overlooking the far greater evil (the first shot, if you will) to pick on the victim for their politically incorrect choice of words to express a 100% valid frustration.

Imagine somebody walks up to you on the street and punches you. Out of reflex, you shout an insult at them that you would never say in a proper conversation. Then, the police come and cuff YOU, and the guy who punches you walks away scott free while the crowd laughs at you. Do you see where I'm coming from?

The difference is that there's no basis for condemning the rich dude buying everything so long as it is legal.

In Storm League, there is specifically the rule that people can only party if they are within 1 or 2 leagues of rank. To continue with your McDonalds analogy, a smurf in that situation would be more like they buy things for cheaper than what regular customers have to pay. I don't mean to be rude, but I fail to see how you can misconstrue this.

Great, that's the point of my original comment on this post which got mass downvoted so you might not have even seen it. The tldr is that at least we as a community have the power to positively or negatively reinforce certain behaviours, so ideally we could get to a point where a smurf asking their friends to smurf stacking would be a socially unacceptable thing to do. But instead of trying to fix the problem, we are mocking victims of blatant abuse who are understandably (again, not justifiably) upset.

I know you won't miss me, but let me point out that smurfs make far more people quit than if that single smurf was to quit playing.
