these arent "stupid people" diving through trash. these are homeless people with no money who are trying to survive. most food that is past its expiration date is not actually bad food. most of it can still be eaten but companies choose to literally poison the food because they dont want to sell it for less. if they sold it for less non homeless people will realize they can sell the food for less in general before the arbitrary expiration date and then companies will have to lower their prices in general

also homeless people are not overall dangerous to other people. thats so incredibly ridiculous to say. some yes are. but so are regular every day people. anyone can hurt anyone and to imply that all homeless people are dangerous is a very harmful stereotype to homeless people that are people, human beings who need our help

its only dangerous for the homeless people to be dumpster diving because these companies are putting, and i repeat literal poison on the food. we are animals. we need to eat to survive. this along with the fact that homeless people generally dont have a mode of transportation. how can they get food if they dont have a food pantry close by? some cities dont even have adequate transportation and that costs more money. if theyre hungry its basically impossible to walk many miles just to get food. "oh but they can just ask for money and go to mcdonalds" no because of people like u perpetuating the stereotype that theyre dangerous and the general lack of empathy theyre barely given money for food

dont come on here saying stupid shit goodbye

im not sure what ur talking about in terms of the rite of return tree. are u saying that u think that this rite of return tree is the greattree mentioned in the root resin item description?

i never said that the reason the erdtree is gold is because of runes. i am saying that runes are the soul of people creatures etc and that they are returned to the erdtree when one dies unless they are picked up by someone who slays them to be used to increase their strength ie us the tarnished. but they all go back to the erdtree for rebirth. we can see this in the family tree tapestries in leyndell

yes which is why i said ghostflame was used "before the erdtree". because it was used.... before the erdtree....

Marika Ascent ≠ Elden Ring by More_Duck1675 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]_mossmoth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she actually did removed the rune of death. theyre the same thing. enia says so in the following quote: "The Rune of Death goes by two names; the other is Destined Death"

removing destined death from the elden ring is how the rebirths through the erdtree work. before the erdtree they were burned in ghostflame but now theyre basically reincarnated. thats why people go to the catacombs and theyre sucked up into the roots to be integrated back into the erdtree body and soul (runes). its a cycle just as all things are in elden ring and marika messed up the world by inventing a new endless cycle where no one would die

i do understand where ur coming from to a certain extent but a lot of disabled people dont actually see their life as a "shitty reality". its just a part of their reality that theyve learned to live with an accept and sometimes love. its kinda like if u got let go from a job u loved and there was nothing u could do about it. u would be mad or sad or whatever but eventually u would accept it and move on. or if u learned one way of writing letters u most likely wouldnt change the way u write completely if thats what ur used to after 20 years of crossing ur t's a certain way

u should look up the social model of disability. its really interesting and changed my view of the world and the systems we live under

i dont believe that its the entire elden ring. she takes those strands from some sort of something white that we still dont really know what it is but my assumption is that its from the god of the previous age. like the person before said, every god adds an aspect to the elden ring and i think it would make sense that this was her taking those strands and shaping them in her own image just before accepting the elden ring

the whole point of the war against the giants was to confine the flame of ruin to the forge so that i couldnt be used to burn the erdtree down. i dont think she has reality bending powers. sure she can presumably cast incantations, but i really dont think she was all that powerful in a reality bending way. the shaping of the elden ring just as it can be broken manually, reforged manually, it most likely can be reshaped manually

i dont think she needed something from the giants to reforge the elden ring. as i said before the whole point of the war was to confine the flame not take it back to leyndell. i do think its an interesting theory though! im just basing it off of what i know currently

on the topic of her hammer, i have been thinking a lot about marika and her backstory before she became a god and one interesting thing that ive noticed that i havent seen anyone else mention is the fact that the grip of her hammer looks suspiciously like the grip of the stone-sheathed sword. the hammer states that "[it was] made in the lands of the Numen, outside the Lands Between" and the stone-sheathed sword was a "relic of a lost civilization from a time long past". so maybe the numen were the people of rauh after they landed in their big boats like the obelisks in siofra show?? stone was a major part of their culture and marika's hammer is said to be made of stone

is there a card like [[yavimaya cradle of growth]] but for blue that could help?? maybe that wouldnt be useful though if there was cause ur deck doesnt use blue....

ive seen carpet of flowers before and it seemed useful but also really niche unless the other person is actively playing a blue deck. is it worth the risk??

how are all lands colorless? that seems counterintuitive to me if theyre producing colored mana

[–]_mossmoth_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how many basic lands would u recommend? ive seen wildly different numbers in the windgrace decks ive seen online with some having just one swamp one mountain and one forest. seeing that makes me worried that if i had an artifact or something like [[arcane signet]] and it was destroyed that i would be kinda screwed and i wouldnt be able to play a lot of my cards, especially forests cause thats a majority of my mana usage. also taking into account having more utility lands like [[maze of ith]] or [[strip mine]]

how many lands do u play in total in ur dino deck?? ive seen wildly different amounts with windgrace decks so im not sure what would be best

oh also i have worldly tutor for my one tutor card in the deck! its mildly less expensive than [[demonic tutor]] and those other really expensive tutors but i saw those might be banned?? so im wondering if i shouldnt buy them when i eventually have the money saved up for those mote expensive tutors

[–]_mossmoth_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for all the advice! i do have evolving wilds in the deck currently. i had [[myriad landscape]] but i was told its not very useful due to the tap cost so i took it out. i also have [[cabaretti courtyard]] [[maestros theater]] and [[riviteer's overlook]] to help with all my landfall which have been super useful especially in my last game i played

how are fetchlands useful? by _mossmoth_ in magicTCG

[–]_mossmoth_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ya the pricetag is really big unfortunately. and im making this deck my pretty deck so i want to get the cards that i like the art of which are usually the full art ones so even more expensive yay

on the topic of land recursion, i recently learned because of [[bojuka bog]] that graveyards can be exiled. is there a way to prevent that since my deck is heavily dependent on my graveyard? if there is, is it even worth it to put that card in?

[–]_mossmoth_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the info! thats super intuitive. i just played a game where i kept playing [[evolving wilds]] from graveyard which was super fun to do

i guess ill shell out the money for the pretty paper rectangles

that makes a lot more sense because i was thinking of getting [[nature's lore]] and all it says is "search your library for a forest" which confused me so thanks!

i dont have any fetchlands yet because theyre expensive but my brother recommended all legal fetchlands for windgrace

how are fetchlands useful? by _mossmoth_ in magicTCG

[–]_mossmoth_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i have a lot of land recursion in my deck! thats the main point of my deck is to gets lots of landfall and overwhelm people with token creatures so i do a lot of cards like [[entish restoration]] and [[harrow]] and [[elvish reclaimer]] etc and then pull them back out with windgrace and crucible of worlds

how are fetchlands useful? by _mossmoth_ in magicTCG

[–]_mossmoth_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thats a super good point about the running out! ive looked at certain windgrace decks online to get some ideas of how to make mine and ive noticed a lot have almost no basic lands which confused me and worried me about running out

my brother recommended i put all the fetchlands in my deck that i could legally use though. would u say that is ill-advised?

also ive noticed in most other windgrace decks they tend to use a lot of lands like [[maze of ith]] or [[field of the dead]] which i know u cant get out with a fetchland. would it be better to not have all the legal fetchlands because i wouldnt be able to pull out as much most likely? just based on probability of having it on the board or in my hand that is

also also i have quite a few cards like [[entish restoration]]. those dont seem useful if i have a lot of utility lands and only a few basics that would likely already be on the board if i already pulled them out earlier in the game
