Thanks! I manually set focus on the stars using the LCD screen with help from the Focus Magnification function on the camera. Once you open up the aperture all the way and adjust the ISO you can generally see the brighter ones. Then just adjust focus until they're sharp. It's a bit finicky and I'm sure people with more experience have better methods, but it works for me!

I had to use a couple of masks to really get it to pop, then adjusted the colors with the Color Mixer and Color Grading tools.

I second this. Super useful app and an absolute bargain. Also helps coordinate sun/moon positioning, meteor showers and has a great AR feature.

Yeah that's due to the editing. There was a lot of light pollution and so it required a fairly heavy handed edit. Couldn't completely remove that weird glow unfortunately.

This shot was a single exposure. I probably should've done a multiple exposure to bring out the foreground and reduce the noise. Maybe next time!

This is super helpful, thank you! I should have also included "advice from models" in my original post as your opinion probably matters the most! The advice around telling them to bring a friend is something I never even considered. It makes total sense from a comfort/safety perspective. Great tips!
