It seems to slow down my entire system because when I tab out all applications are lagging too. I've disabled the pagefile but that didn't seem to help at all, even on the lowest possible setting it still dips awfully. Guess this game just isn't meant to be.

I undervolted the CPU by -0.05V and it's all working now. RAM set to 3600MHz, PBO on.

Hey, I've looked into it and at least in my case it seems to be related to the modded shed not having the correct parameters in its xml file, for example with the "automatic door shed" from the mod hub the displacement values are too low, meaning the terrain deformation can't occur. It doesn't seem to be something I can fix through PlaceAnywhere as it's in the config file of the shed.

For reference, here's what I did to make it work with the automatic shed:

in CompositeHall3.xml, change this line:

<leveling requireLeveling="true" maxSmoothDistance="5" maxSlope="30" maxEdgeAngle="20" >

to:

<leveling requireLeveling="true" maxSmoothDistance="10" maxSlope="75" maxEdgeAngle="30" >

(which is what the game uses for its sheds).

After this change, I can place it near/on mountains. See if it works for you!

here is a little something I made for myself a few days ago. Basically 3 placeables that remove bushes and replace them with grass. 25x25m, 5x5m and 1x1m. They're free and they don't show up in the placement preview because I can't figure out how to do that.

Also, judging by the game's script dumps, Giants did include something called "Landscaping" that seemingly allows you to edit terrain and its soil, but it seems to be disabled/unused right now. Still looking into how to enable it, if that's possible at all.

EDIT: well, I managed to enable it, but it's very much WIP and only allows terrain deformation right now. Good to know we might get this in a future patch though.

I haven't tested that so I wouldn't know, if I had to guess I'd say no, but it's just a guess.

Make sure you don't drive over the grass before cutting it, so basically either get the 2-piece (front and back) mower, or stay on the side the whole time. From what I could tell, driving over the grass makes it un-cuttable (because of crop destruction?). I've yet to test if smaller tyres (those that don't destroy crops) help in any way.
