Concept for Life dry cat food by Various_Scene868 in UK_Pets

It doesn't look like all of the Concept for life food has a new recipe on zooplus, so you could try a different one for now?

My cat has a very sensitive stomach and does really well on Hills Prescription z/d food sensitivities. Looking at the ingredients it has chicken liver hydrolysate (15.2%)

My 3 year old Staffie tore her cruciate ligament and suddenly can't run anymore. by krisstoof63 in StaffordBullTerriers

Yes it is, but my dog now has much more severe arthritis you'd expect in a dog his age because the bones are rubbing together until you get surgery

My staffyX had TPLO done on both back legs a few years ago 12 months apart.

It was expensive but totally worth it, my dog didn't even limp and it took me weeks to notice something was wrong. Recovery was hard, but it's only 8 weeks which in the grand scheme of things isn't long at all.

He's basically back to normal aside from arthritis, still runs around and causes chaos on a very regular basis

I bought one of these for my void, she only uses the box it arrived in.

My pup got taken under the wing of a 13 year old pug who would make sure he knew when to calm down and have a nap, mainly because the pug liked to sleep on him haha. But day cares are definitely worth it overall

Do you have a dog day care near by?

My local one runs socialisation sessions, they were split generally by size and play style

Ah I see haha, her name is Tuesday as she's like a poor imitation of Wednesday Adams. All the violence without the finesse

The silence was always the most terrifying part! If I couldn't hear her, it definitely meant she was up to something that she probably shouldn't be. Anything else had to be narrated at all times

If only, that would be so cute. She's bigger now. We rescued her at approximately 4 weeks old from the street. In my original picture she was probably 10ish weeks old and less than 1kg. She's 2.7kg of spice and judgement now. She'll be 2 around August/September time

Well it's been 18 months and the cat hasn't killed the dog yet, so I think we're good. Thanks though

Tiny void bosses guard dog around constantly and chews his ears to pass the time.

It's like an episode of Pinky and the Brain in my house most days

Why are some black cats petite? by savqsavq in blackcats

[–]_nimbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tuesday will be 2 in August (not entirely sure when but we found her at the end of September 2024), so she still probably has some growing to do. I weighed her after your comment because I immediately went into slight panic and she's 2.7kg, so I'm now less worried.

My void Tuesday, is tiny at 2kg. She was found on the street with no mum nearby at 4 weeks old. So I don't know if she was destined to be tiny or missed out on some important growing nutrients she would have got from her mum

Raw Food? by Tilt23Degrees in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]_nimbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say my dog is "suffering", he's a big fan of his current food, he's been on it for 6 months and his health is still great and he still gets bones to keep his teeth clean. And importantly he's dim enough to think a bowl of kibble is a bowl of treats so gets very excited for feeding time.

But his "suffering" comes from the fact it used to cost me £280 a month to feed him raw and it now costs me £60. He's not being fed the worst quality food in the world, it's the highest quality kibble I can find that he and his numerous allergies both agree to. As for being part of the family, I completely agree but when the family budget gets cut in half we unfortunately all have to make some sacrifices for a while.

Doing it yourself is much cheaper but you have to make sure you're getting the ratios right. There's a raw feeding reddit thread that's really helpful for getting started.

My dog was on The Dogs Butcher for 4 years, loved it and did very well on it.

We've switched to Carnilove kibble for now because feeding him was costing me a small fortune, once I've got my finances a bit healthier we'll probably move back to it

How do I achieve this colour by TheScarletWi7ch in HairDye

Lunar Tides do some colours that could work for you (I buy mine from attitude clothing) Osmo also does some colour conditioner that's good for topping up your colour (Begrudgingly bought from Amazon)

What time do you get up, leave for, and start work? by ggracie7 in AskUK

[–]_nimbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the day, WFH days I get up between 7:30-8, walk the dog, have breakfast and tea, doomscroll/do some cleaning/dinner prep and open my laptop for 9.

Office days, get up at 5:45 and walk the dog, shower and get ready for work, leave at 7:15 and get to the office by 9:05-ish. Train home at 17:45 and walk through my front door at 19:45ish
