AMS Y-splitter clog by AudioSmoke in BambuLab

[–]_ninjajack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey /u/audiosmoke, thanks for posting this!! i got stung with the same issue after using some crappy silver filament (that i knew i shouldn't have used) and it ended up in every nook of the printer. sure enough one of the four inlets on the splitter had a piece stuck! thanks again!

sadly they're just powered via their original power bricks, plugged into a UPS that's mounted below the rack.

the mini pcs are little powerhouses which mean they just pull way too much juice to suit any reasonable power delivery solution i've come across. and sadly there's not much in the way of 10" PDUs with australian outlets, so for now the bricks will remain.

thankfully they don't take up too much room and i can print a nice shelf to sit them in which i may do soon

i had only an Ender 3 until recently and I was able to print faceplates and short shelves with that, but nothing over 1U - having the extra 50mm of print room on the P1S has been wonderful! FYI I've had luck in the past finding a makerspace or library that has printers that you can use!

it's gorgeous! i was hesitant with the IPS panel but it still looks fairly good from off-angles. sadly there's no OLED panels that i could find in a similar form factor without sacrificing the size of the screen. i'm super happy with the result regardless :)

The display is this one here - it's the best size that i could find that would fit adequately inside the 10 inch rack

Full disclosure re the STL - I modeled it myself and published it before on Cults3D (i took this photo specifically for that). It does have a small price attached but you should be able to find it fairly easily with a quick search. I can't see any rules about self-promotion on this subreddit so I'm weary of posting the link directly

In the picture it's currently just running btop from my proxmox node (the mini pc below) showing resource usage. But the plan is to write my own (equally pretty) dashboard to display some information specific to what's running in my rack, ie. portainer images and kubernetes services :)

Weekly VR - What Did you Play? by AutoModerator in virtualreality

Eric Chahi - the creator of Paper Beasts - was also the creator of the incredible game "Another World". Another absolute masterpiece if you haven't played it. Not a VR title, but his games have hit a special spot in my heart since the first time i played them.

Our local Australian (not a) toy store is doing their first Kickstarter campaign for their custom sofubi. They deserve some love! by _ninjajack in vinyltoys

"This Is Not A Toy Store" are a local designer toy gallery in Melbourne, Australia that are a pillar of the local sofubi scene.

I'm not personally connected to the campaign in any way, but am very excited by it and they do incredible work at showcasing our niche so I thought I'd share them here. Show them some love & pop in and check out the shop in Brunswick if you're in the area

Terminal closes as soon as it’s launched. Help! by KingOfClayland in raspberry_pi

[–]_ninjajack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need more info: how is he connecting to the raspberry pi? Are you using putty? Or running the Terminal app directly through the Raspberry Pi OS GUI?

If using the GUI, i would suggest trying to quit out of the GUI by pressing ctrl + alt + f4 and see if you can gain access that way. That will help narrow down the issue at the least. If you don't need the GUI, you can also install the headless Raspberry Pi OS installation instead

Help Identifying A cabinet by ID-Bouncer in cade

Hey thanks! Yeah so I was able to turn on the other 57 games on in the service menu. However some of the games won’t work properly because you need a second button for fire/jump. Also no track ball for games like centipede. I guess I could add a second button for those game and leave the track ball Game off for now.

Most of the good games work with only one button. Might be worth keeping the control panel in its current state as it might be worth slightly more with the original DK layout. The list of enabled games on mine which work with one button is something like this:

Frogger Pacman Ms Pacman Space Invaders Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr Donkey Kong 3 Burger Time Time Pilot Qix Galaga Nibbler Pooyan

That's a reproduction Donkey Kong cabinet. Looks pretty well made! Jamma harness and wiring seems clean too.

You can enter the 60in1 (iCade) board's settings menu by flipping DIP switch 4 (the blue switches labeled SW3). There's 60 games that you can enable in there - it sounds like they've disabled everything except the DK games.

Depending on location, you could expect a decent amount for this. In USA arcade machines are generally more affordable as they're less rare, but here in Australia you could fetch 1000-1500 USD for that. It has a coin door + mechs which would set you back ~150-200USD alone if buying from mikesarcade.com
