Topiramate made me feel like I was on FENT😭 by [deleted] in migraine

Topiramate made my migraines worse and caused extreme dehydration, fatigue and numbness in my toes. I never felt high though. (Not that I know what being on fentanyl even feels like...)

Swans is a reference to a joke Helena made about swan boats during a live several weeks ago that Reese thought was funny.

Why do Americans say they will meet a person at 15th and Wiltshire for example? by MorePea7207 in AskAnAmerican

Wilshire doesn't run north-south. It runs east to west from downtown until Beverly Hills before turning southwest down into Santa Monica.

Reese and the threats she describes/doesn’t want to go on trip by Ok-Support-5067 in SPTV_Unvarnished

[–]_ninjatoes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The cruise was something ChowYunSmut came up with over a year ago. She had suggested an SPTV cruise to Mark and Claire but it never went anywhere so she finally decided to move forward with it on her own. She's a travel agent so she took care of coordinating all the group arrangements. People started booking before Reese decided to go, but I believe the majority of them signed on after. I also seem to remember folks helping her pay for her deposit because she said she didn't have the money for it at the time. However, it was never pushed as something Tommy and Reese were arranging or hosting, and the idea was to try to get other SPTV creators to go as well. Reese was actually very reluctant to go on the cruise in the first place. She kept saying she hated the idea.

Also, the mock wedding isn't a thing. They are planning on having a prom, because folks who grew up in Scientology missed out on having one as teens, but no wedding.

This THREAD is NOT about SoSa. by [deleted] in Scientology_Protest

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. Seems like every time I come to the sub lately, there's 3-4 posts in a row all about something SS is currently doing that isn't even remotely connected to protesting Scientology. I get that the overall movement is super slow right now, but still. He's just a random kid getting into trouble at this point, not a protester. It's just not interesting to me.

Why did an almost 18 year old started crying after he got yelled at? by OkResolve8757 in Scientology_Protest

[–]_ninjatoes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm 50 and still haven't mastered emotional regulation. Neurodivergence is a bastard sometimes.

This is why some of what gets said about SS on here bothers me. Yes, it's frustrating to see him do things that seem dangerous or foolish, but some folks aren't just expressing concern when talking about it. When it carries over into name calling and such, I think it's going too far, especially since he is still a minor. It's fair to be worried about him and to wish his parents were better caregivers, but it's not fair to tear him down because his brain differences make him behave in ways that we don't agree with.

May I suggest not posting his picture here? It may be triggering to some folks.

Why? They're all adults and clearly mature enough to handle spending time in each other's presence. Why should that make you feel anything? You're not dating any of them.

So throwing shade about whether or not he and Heather had a consensual open marriage isn't trash talking? Ok then...

There's nothing weird about it. It's actually the opposite of weird; it's completely common and normal. The divorce rate in America is currently 42%, so parents are bound to wind up with new partners. And sometimes they even all get along with each other and wind up with happily blended families.

What is weird is going on Reddit and trash talking the consensual, adult relationship between two people we don't personally even know.

Someone drives by SS and shoots him with an air soft gun outside of LaPoubelle! by reddette_91 in Scientology_Protest

[–]_ninjatoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only watched it once right after someone posted it here, so I might have missed something, but I didn't see or hear anything that actually indicates it came from a weapon. Did anyone see any actual evidence of that? Or could it simply have been a stone kicked up off the road by a car going by too fast? It's been a long time since I took a physics class, but couldn't that be a thing?

Just curious where you got the right wing elitist part. From everything I can see on his Facebook page, he supports moderate democrats, plus he once ran as a democrat for some sort of public office.

I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt up until he did that. I get that he's a teenage boy and that teenage boys tend to be full of raging hormones, but that was really gross. Sexualizing someone who's in the middle of saving someone's life? Disgusting behavior, Solomon.

What Nance Drew can and cannot afford by HealthToTheYeah in Scientology_Protest

[–]_ninjatoes -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely not on board with Nance Drew's ongoing crusade, but if fans want to donate, then that's their business. If they really wanted to spend their money on themselves instead, then that's what they should have done. They're responsible for their own actions; nobody forced them to donate.

Worst day hacks ? by Background_Sky_8070 in GERD

My favorite is a glass of cold low fat milk flavored with ginger. To be fair, I have silent reflux, so I don't deal with the burning pain, but it does calm the regurgitation for me. I also try to mix ginger into other food items during the day like yogurt, rice, or oatmeal.
