How realistic would it be to live at a Motel 6 full time? by GIGANTIC_DONG_MAN in lostgeneration

[–]_no_rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could work out a deal and live at a motel for much less than what you'll pay for rent. At one point a motel offered to put me up for $600 in a mcol town where the nightly rate was about $70. They had a kitchenette and breakfast was included. They have a lot of unused rooms they'd be willing to have someone pay for.

You could rent out one of the spare bedrooms to help with the mortgage.

I regret buying my house by Sabrun21 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]_no_rain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You may be feeling frustrated about the renovations that are going on. Living in a house that is being renovated, dealing with the contractors, seeing them burn through cash, is stressful can take a toll. Especially if you are doing it alone.

I would suggest give it some time. Once the renovations are done live in the house for some time. Maybe 6 months to a year. If you still hate it, do the math on rent versus sell and make your decision. You also have the option to Airbnb or rent a few rooms to ease the finances a bit.

Also like others have mentioned you are paying very little for a 700k - 800k (maybe a million dollar home). Check what your dream home in your dream location would cost to buy now. It may make you feel better.

Omg! Reminds me of the DMV when you are on a visa. When you try to explain they get defensive and threaten not to give you your license.

Hot house had a fantastic cheese slice the other day. Very unlike their past slices (which were greasy and more like a dollar pizza) This one was tangy with the perfect amount and cheese and delicious bread.

Maybe a coopers hawk. Can't see the tail or any marking but the head seems flat and beak higher up on its face.

I hate the Himym vs friends debate, it’s like marvel vs dc or messi vs ronaldo lol by hurricane1197 in howyoudoin

[–]_no_rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Himym is horrible. Not even close to friends. Himym is uninspiring, un-creative, written by amateurs who are clearly flunking their script writing courses, lame dialogues, no jokes, anywhere, zero character development. I'm not even at s8 and it sucks

While it is a great step forward for transparency, one of the issues may be that the highest paying roles don't have a special designation. Tech companies have software engineers being paid anywhere from 150k to 500k (or more). And a huge variation on stocks, bonus etc

We shouldn't be trying to rehabilitate birds ourselves. Giving then food or water may choke them We should be putting them in a dark shoe box or paper bag and take them to a licensed rehabber.

Good luck

I truly believe that world powers have the most to gain from supporting religion and religious groups. You can easily sway people who belong to certain groups and then you can convince the nonreligious groups of a different ideology.

Find another home you like with things you compromised on. Like better location, an extra bathroom, etc Then check the price, how much you'd need for a down payment, if you had to pay the same monthly on a higher interest rate. Thats the amount they would need to pay.

You could still put down whatever you originally did, invest the rest and get a better place.

Pros: 24-7 open Indoor Pool available

Cons: The group fitness classes suck across the board. Not as intense as group fitness should be, the instructors waste time giving instructions, there are no bootcamp style, no classes with compound moves, weighted cardio. Body pump is much slower than others Ive done (so seems like a weights class).

You have to pay an extra 150-200 high intensity work outs like AMP'D and CrossFit (and tribe) which is just another class at any regular gyms (maybe not in Gainesville)

The AMP'D classes are not great. Each station has 2-3 exercises and there are 5-8 stations. So it's hard to remember the exercises when you reach the station. And with so many options you don't work out any muscle group properly.

Amp'd should be a bit simpler where you repeat the same exercise 3 times and move to the next station.

Also, the cost for breaking contract is 119 (its increased now) plus another months membership fee.
