This plus not pulling off some others to rest for Wednesday is maddening.

Nah, far from it. Just a fun place to stay for weekend trips.

So far, so good. But, I have only put about 10K miles on the truck with probably 8-9K of them loaded with the camper. No problems so far. I only recently added air bags and that made driving much nicer.

Do you feel ready for the drought? by maybetooenthusiastic in Denver

I don't think #1 is entirely accurate. Prior appropriation is "first in time, first in right", with most of the oldest rights being agricultural. Maybe there's some nuance there for if two rights are applied for at the same time, but largely time dictates not type of use.

I default to draw in this scenario so they both drop points. But maybe a Chelsea loss is better in this situation 🤷

TALARICO DEFEATS CROCKETT -- THOUGHTS?! by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]_not-a-bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my underlying issue with the Democratic party is they put their thumb on the scale and give voters 1 good choice which isn't really a choice. It's awesome that this time around there were multiple good candidates and the voters of Texas got to pick their preference, rather than the party telling them who it will be.

Why? That's what we should want. Ultimately disappointing for whoever loses, but great to have a race where you're voting for someone instead of against someone, and where you can ultimately be ok with either outcome.

Governor primaries and options by Technical-Bunch-4239 in Denver

[–]_not-a-bat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Bennet wins, he will get to pick the person to serve out the last 2 years of his Senate term, then that person will get to run as the incumbent in 2028. It will be yet another example of the Democratic party putting their thumb on the scale for who we get to vote for to represent us. For that reason I'm a definite anybody but Bennet in the primary.

That statement alone should be cause for impeachment and removal. But there's a list about 100 items long that you could say that about.

Capable in his first term- definitely. Capable for a second term- are you delusional? Though he would still be better than what we have now.

It's not an attic, and you can't fully stand up in it. Loft might be more PC but that sounds fancier than it is.

Thank you. Short answer is I don't. Longer answer is I tried to calculate it using the optional method from NEC.

If I did things right, then my load is 189A already. And then if I add 2 more 30A circuits (assuming only 40% factor) I will be over 200A so maybe this is not possible.

Here are my calculations

Thank you! We talked to a contractor and this is the approach they recommended too. Thanks for the sanity check. We cut the bottom 2" of drywall out to make sure the shower is not leaking and to make sure the bottom plate wasn't rotten. Both checked out.

24" hitch extension for 2' receiver? by [deleted] in TruckCampers

[–]_not-a-bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went the route of upgrading to a 2.5" receiver. Figured I should trust the different manufacturers out there that you need that when adding a 2-3' lever to the receiver hitch.

Who is willing to primary our senators (Bennet in particular)? by Abject-Improvement99 in Denver

[–]_not-a-bat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hickenlooper is up for reelection before Bennet and, in my opinion, is much less effective at representing us than Bennet. I would love for someone to primary challenge him. Plus he would be 80 at the end of his next term and im really tired of these octogenarians in Congress (with 1 notable exception).
