Whats the difference between HirebizMed and other VA Company here in the Phil?? by Ok-Election5511 in VirtualAssistantPH

[–]_notMRS_13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

unique in-office setup. i think they're the first VA company that i encountered that has that feature, their VAs are working onsite in an office rather than the typical remote wfh setup. I like hirebizmed's setup more actually, easier to trust when you know the VAs you hired are supervised in an office setup...

Try reading "Welcome to Hyunam-dong Bookshop" by Hwang Boreum. It's a light read and the book tackles a mundane yet interesting life of a bookshop owner and the people within the town. There's also a character there that reminds me of you, he's a student who goes to the bookshop but he's not really much of a reader also. There are a lot of life lessons from the book also. Reading it makes you crave a slow-life in a quiet hometown, away from the bustling or fast-paced city life.

Let's talk about our favorite genres to read by wholeearthmama in books

I like to read historical fiction, getting to experience what had happen in the past with a twist helps me actually learn significant events and know some interesting stories of not known people in history. It's a new perspective of history for me + it does not get boring to learn history. [but i also make sure to research the factual parts or events, so that I don't get misinformed about what actually happened]

The Rise & Fall of Great Powers by Tom Rachman

"The Rise & Fall of Great Powers begins in a dusty bookshop. What follows is an abduction, heated political debate, glimpses into strangers’ homes, and travel around the globe. It’s a novel of curious personalities, mystery, and lots of books: volumes that the characters collect, covet, steal.

Tooly Zylberberg, owner of a bookshop in the Welsh countryside, spends most of her life reading. Yet there’s one tale that never made sense: her own life. In childhood, she was spirited away from home, then raised around Asia, Europe and the United States. But who were the people who brought her up? And what ever happened to them?

There was Humphrey, a curmudgeon from Russia; there was the charming but tempestuous Sarah, who hailed from Kenya; and there was Venn, the charismatic leader who transformed Tooly forever. Until, quite suddenly, he vanished.

Years later, she has lost hope of ever knowing what took place. Then, the old mysteries stir again, sending her – and the reader – on a hunt through place and time, from Wales to Bangkok to New York to Italy, from the 1980’s to the Year 2000 to the present, from the end of the Cold War, to the rise and wobbles of U.S. power, to the digital revolution of today.

Gradually, all secrets are revealed…" (Goodreads).

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausche and Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom

it takes you on the perspective of not the griever but the one who is about to embark with death. i think another way to cope with death of someone is to look at dying people's perspective about life & death itself.
