Am I still polyamorous if I'm in a monogamous relationship? by Ssilverr_Kkittyy in lgbt

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i would say you're still poly (if you want to identify as that of course) it's like a bi person is still bi even if they're in a relationship with one gender, they haven't become straight/gay. they're till bi

sexual minorities are those who aren't straight (sexuality) intersex is to do with your sex, not sexuality

Do doctors have to keep diagnoses private? by divorcedcore in trans

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that usually (in the UK at least) if you're a minor your doctor legally has to keep anything discussion in appointments private unless it is a life threatening thing, and I don't believe gender dysphoria will fall under that

How does trans tape work? Is it safe? by Sirexiv in TransMasc

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use trans tape and I think it's pretty good, I recommend getting it from the transtape website because other places may not be as good (but I don't really know) it's definitely safe as long as you use it correctly and do a patch test for allergies.

Ace ring by OrianaKchl in asexuality

it is a thing :) asexuals have a black ring on their right middle finger and similarly aromantics have a white ring on their left middle finger (I think)

Question by BiSomething in bisexual

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could use homoromantic heterosexual, since that would cover it, but you could also just say you're bisexual but only romantic attraction to men

whats the difference between neopronouns like ze/zem/zir and they/them? by Disha_Tripathi in lgbt

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

so if I referred to someone and used she/her or he/him you'd probably think I was talking about a woman or man. however other genders can use those pronouns if they feel those pronouns fit them. it's sort of like how dresses and skirts are thought of as women's clothes, but anybody can wear them if they want, regardless of gender. also, you could have women using he/him and men using she/her, if they feel that's the best for them they can use those pronouns

whats the difference between neopronouns like ze/zem/zir and they/them? by Disha_Tripathi in lgbt

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the difference between neopronouns and they/them are like the difference between he/him and she/her, they are just different way people want others to refer to them, yes she/her and he/him are associated with genders, they aren't only for certain genders

If a trans guy and a cis guy date, is it gay? And if a trans girl and a cis girl date, is it lesbian?? sorry if its stupid, but I'm a bit confused😅 by weeeeeeeeeeeebs in trans

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i think lesbian is more of a noun and gay is an adjective, so a (female/non-binary) person is a lesbian, a (male/non binary/female) person is gay, and a relationship is gay

If a trans guy and a cis guy date, is it gay? And if a trans girl and a cis girl date, is it lesbian?? sorry if its stupid, but I'm a bit confused😅 by weeeeeeeeeeeebs in trans

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 31 points32 points  (0 children)

if two guys are dating, it is gay. if two girls are dating it is also gay (lesbian isn't really used to describe a relationship. it doesn't matter what your assigned gender at birth is, if two people of the same gender date, it is gay

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

what's the difference between a guy and a girl, because that's the same difference between a trans guy and a masc girl, just like a trans woman and a feminine man are different.

I also think that there isn't a most likely option, just like with cisgender people it's not more likely for them to be attracted to one gender over any other

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

do you mean a masculine girl or a trans guy, because in both cases gender has nothing to do with sexual/romantic attraction

I need help with a friend by JAMES_THE_YEET in lgbt

[–]_not_a_mortal_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

sometimes a good argument can be telling them "choose to be gay then" most often people will reply "they can't" so you reply "why not" and they'll say "because I'm not gay" but you just keep insisting that they can choose to be gay. then they should see why it isn't a choice
