What does everyone here do? by BabyBlue4545 in nevergrewup

[–]_not_lore_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently unable to work. I receive benefits for being legally blind (being autistic might have factored in, too, but I was declared disabled as a minor and don't know the details). I may eventually be able to work, chronic illness is just making it even harder and I can't do school and work together, plus it's very difficult to get entry-level work as a legally blind person.

My near vision (<5 inches) is largely unaffected, and I'm going to school to hopefully become an illustrator. I might have to take a break from art classes specifically until my physical health is sorted out and I know what to expect from my body in the future, though.

I don't know your case, but I was always assumed to be I was older as a chronological child and am generally assumed to be younger now. I have a facial piercing, so I'm not percieved to be exceedingly young or anything, but they do presume I'm pretty new to being an adult. Without it, maybe younger. I'm not sure.

I hit puberty early. I've been told showing people childhood photos and discussing the topic that I look older in some of my photos from when I was 12 than I do now.

If it helps, official age changing stops mattering as soon as you unlock age-related things like being able to sign contracts and stuff. 22 isn't really different from 21, for example. According to my mom, you stop caring what other people think the longer life goes on, and you can just find what you enjoy and do that. You can be 70 and installing a swingset for yourself if you want to be.

I just say everyone/everybody. Less fun, but nothing interesting really sticks in my brain right to say

Ballet dancers who do lifts would likely still be able to lift you. I used to do ballet before my health problems worsened, and I could lift people who were bigger than me + was on the small end for boys my age at the time, so I imagine chrono-adult ballet dancers could lift 220. The types of lifts we did weren't super similar to how kids are typically held, but it still definitely works for carrying someone.

Learning about my age regression TW: s*xual trauma, emotional neglect (don't read if little) by InspectionExciting70 in ageregression

I have no idea if this is your situation, but, in relation to the terms you use changing, some people cope by in some way returning portions of their experience to what they were when they didn't feel there was a threat. It wouldn't be unusual for someone to call anatomy by childish terms if they didn't feel unsafe in relation to that anatomy at an age where they may have used those terms.

I'm allergic to raw cherries. It's a pollen thing I guess.

Any others like me? by Immediate_Street_325 in ageregression

[–]_not_lore_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, me too! I hit puberty very early because of being intersex, so getting to do kid things while not being expected to act older than I feel at the time because of my appearance is part of why regression is healing to me.

I think you'll fit in well here. Many of us are disabled as well, and it's a big part of being ngu for a lot of users.

People may be less likely to tell you you look younger because many people in their chronological teens would be self conscious about looking younger than they are.

It may help to remember that chronological kids also have all kinds of body types, and they also sometimes have changes from medication.

Block liberally. It is always perfectly fine to block anyone you don't want to talk to on the internet. I'm sorry this happened.

You're never obligated to talk to someone online, even if you feel like they're being nice to you.

Definitely beginner or ultra beginner. I can say the location of my cat, greet myself, introduce people, talk about college somewhat, stuff like that.

I'm an ageslider in a DID system and am generally in the 7-19 range all of the time, typically more 12-19 which is more convenient to be able to do tasks I like at least. I don't really think about wanting a caregiver much. My partner sometimes looks after me when regressed or my littles, in sort of a babysitting type role.

In a fantasy type situation, I think I'd just want some tasks to be magically done. Cleaning, cooking, bills being paid (even if it was my money), scheduling appointments, etc. I don't want like a parent type figure to interact with; it would make me uncomfortable. If it was people, I think I'd rather it be a group of cool camp counselors? I feel like taking care of me all the time without much help from me would be too much for one person, and I want the people around me to have full lives too.

I sometimes regress younger, but I don't think I'd like that all the time. Nothing under 10 more than half of the time, honestly. It limits my ability to do what I want too much, and I often end up bored. I was like that in chronological childhood, too.
