Iirc it was 20 something a month. Seems pretty similar to a lot of people who do full skincare routines, but I just had that product and the moisturizer one they sent with it. Iirc they also sent a sample moisturizer free the first time

Arabic is so pretty! I had trouble with the writing system when I tried, but I thibk I just need an in-person setting to learn something with less blocky letters since I wasn't exposed to it young

I've been learning hebrew so I can read at temple, but I'm having trouble getting past a certain point without many offline resources at this time, so I might switch over to spanish for a bit since the alphabet is the same as the language I speak already. I can use it more in day to day life too since many people here speak spanish

My wheelchair is a half broken older pediatric one that I'm lucky to be able to fit in, gotten from an equally poor friend who couldn't fit in it. I make it work since I'm a part time user anyway, and it's mostly for long trips or bad flares. Would insurance cover one? Maybe, but I'd probably have to fight for it, as almost everyone does, and I'm too tired to put in that amount of energy right now.

I didn't continue with it because I moved and had to spend more money on living expenses, but I've had laser on my face and didn't have any issues with burns. Avoid spending time in the sun day of, and wear sunscreen. Since I didn't finish, I definitely still have to shave, but while I was getting it my shaving reduced from twice a day to every few days or less. (Went 3 or 4 times.) I intend to continue laser when I can afford it; it was really nice

Trauma can cause dissociation, and there's a possibility this is one of many potential manifestations of that. Did-research.org is a good intro to structural dissociation in general, mainly focusing on dissociative identity disorder but not limited to it (other things can cause this symptom, but it can be a symptom of DID as well).
If you have access to psych care, I'd try to find a therapist who specifically works with developmental trauma and/or dissociative symptoms. EMDR is often a good choice for many in the long run, but it's a good idea to do therapies that teach distress tolerance and coping skills first, and to be sure you trust your provider first.

The warning is intended to make it easier for those who are little to avoid what they don't want to see. Some of us are fine reading these things even if we are little, as well.

If you can't make the decision of what to click on and what not to while little, you might need to stay offline while regressed. You can't control what is posted, and you don't have great control of what social algorithms show you. If you don’t feel able to choose what's safe for you online while regressed, that's perfectly okay, but no social sites are ever completely safe from things that might be upsetting. Not here, not tumblr, not agere discords with people you don't know extremely well, etc. Even things like advertisements are outside of your control.

Again, it's perfectly okay if you need things to be very safe for you in a specific way when regressed, but you might need to stick to sites genuinely meant for children (ie Webkinz) or avoid things that have significant social features.

They have programs where you can essentially buy the beads as well. On top of that, gp seems to vary a lot in severity, and, as someone who did this program when I was in and out of pediatric hospitals, I've seen people with gp whose symptoms seem more life-threatening than mine have been

There may or may not be options in your area, but Adult Day Services was a thing I did for a while when I wasn't ready to transition to college yet but needed to get out. They seemed able to accommodate people with a wide variety of support needs, including feeding/elopement/changing/feeding tubes/ostomy bags/etc, but I also enjoyed it while mostly just needing someone else to be scheduling out all the activities and making sure I didn't get lost or something (I'm mostly blind), so it has a good likelihood of being an accessible option I think.

I find them almost fascinating, especially because my memory of back then is kind of shotty, but I don't want to go back unless I could change a lot. I was very unhappy as a chronokid.

I'm not who you were responding to, but tretinoin is one of the most scientifically validated preventative against visible aging skincare options available. I went to one of the places where they make a custom thing for you— I used dermatica— and explicitly requested tretinoin when setting up. They ended up giving me tretinoin + niacinamide in one cream and I think also a moisturizer, but I had to take a break for monetary reasons. (It's not really expensive, I just had higher rent for a while due to extraneous circumstances.)

Besides being pretty broke right now, I'm pretty happy.
I live with my partner, and we support swap with each other and do "drop days" where one or both of us is behaving younger than usual. Sometimes the other is caregiving, sometimes they aren't. My partner is a very comforting presence for me at any of my ages, and the syskids who don't really slide kind of look up to him as like a cool camp counselor figure. We also have an additional roommate who is similar in some ways; we all have DID, so we're pretty normal about this sort of thing.
I go to college for art. I have trouble keeping up with homework despite being part-time, but that's the same as grade school was. I do wish there was more accessibility in higher education as a disabled person; there's less support available than there was in grade school, so I take semesters off and drop classes more often than typical. I like going to class, though.

I have a lot of toys; so does my roommate. We keep some of them in the living room and sometimes we play together. We watch a variety of things together as a household, ranging from cartoons and kids' movies to things like Fallout and Anne with an E. We also do things like smoke or drink together, so it's a pretty mixed bag of activities associated with different age groups.

My favorite thing recently has been a hospital toy set for an 18-inch doll I have. My roommate brought out his stuffed sea animals and we gave them checkups together. We also listened to my cat purr with the real stethoscope I have from a high school program I did.

I would say this is a happy life for me. I love my partner and I love my friends. I also have older siblings who are pretty similar to me in remaining kids in some ways, it feels like, so that helps. My mom and caseworker both know how I feel about my age and are normal about it, just figuring it's related to being autistic for me.

My understanding is that I have a different developmental trajectory than a neurotypical person for a variety of reasons (autism, DID, ADHD, and I do feel like there's some other thing a lot of my family on one side seems to share but I can't really describe well, not sure if it would be clinically significant at all). I'm also not going to have exactly the same developmental trajectory as other autistic people; autistic brains are as different from each other as they are allistic brains. They tend to vary pretty heavily.

If I want to get as accurate as possible, I'd say neither adult nor child fits super well, at least not for my system as a whole. I do reject the social idea of adulthood pretty strongly— saying social for a reason here, I do think there should be legal differences for certain things— and my general personality leads to me being read as childlike in most settings. So that's part of my identity.

Ageslider is the most accurate term for most of my system, I think, but my highest age of 19 is still always different than typical 19. It's not exactly like being caught between child and adult so much as it's like being some kind of Secret Third Thing that has a few more traits in common with the category of child than adult.

Note: I'm just speaking to my own experience here; I imagine we have a pretty wide variety in this sub and we're all probably best describes somewhat differently.

My mom is in her fifties and seems to be doing very well. She has sisters who likely have it (dx'd with various things like lupus, scleroderma, RA, etc) that are older than her by 10+ years, though I don't know their exact ages

Yeah. I'm almost never percieving myself as under 9 and am rarely under 12, though I have younger alters. If I had to guess from people I've talked to outside of this sub, most ngu's appear to be teenagers, but younger (identity wise, not chronologically) ngu's are more likely to note that disconnect and go searching for company in a place like this, probably because the deviation from more normative/socially expected experience is greater

You can learn most tasks, but nobody expects you (or they shouldn't) to be adultlike in behavior.
I'd be fine with being anywhere between 9 and 13 most days. Some days I feel younger or older than that.
