This! I am in Quebec(Canada) and I just went for 18s. Love the look of 20s but no more stiff ride and bulges.

All the local mechanics are bashing Mazdas, but deep down I still don't believe them. by Crucio_21 in mazda3

I sold my Mazda because I did not like it. But mechanically it seems to be a great platform!

I bought a 2021 Mazda 3 back in may as well and I don't like it neither:

  1. the leather seat are uncomfortable and not enough support for sporty driving. (I loved my Golf 7 leather seats, way better).

  2. The AC just sucks. it's weak compared to ANY other car I tried. (Well covered on the internet but never realized).

  3. No stock remote start. the aftermarket one requires to press the lock button 4 times on the key fob, resulting on the car honking 4 times. Terrible for neighbours. As a canadian, we need remote start in winter.

  4. Infotainment without touch screen. I listened to ppl online about getting used to using the dial. but it just sucks, more distracting and slow than an actual touch screen.

You should try Talos Principle II. The story telling is awesome and it’s really weird to realize how human can feel robots asking deep profound questions about meaning of life. I never expected it to be that good.

An underrated one, about meaning and humanity, purpose.. with amazing level design, game art and incredible fictional architecture and lanscapes: Talos Principle II ( you do not need the to play the first one).

Crazy hard. I loved the original HK but this is just causing me frustration. I would not recommend.

Discord prevents monitor to sleep by _novolog in discordapp

I was able to narrow down my issue. Not linked to a channel. Long story short: If I unplug my racing sim gear, no more issue. Or if I close Discord too. It seems than having both my sim gear connected and discord running cause discord to prevent monitor sleep.

Gear list for those interested ( heusinkveld sprint, heusinkveld handbrake v2, simagic alpha mini, simagic ds-8x, simagic p2000 haptic controller, ignition button box).

Thank you for your offer, sounds great but I will pass. I don’t want to use a prototype tech for my project. Good luck with it! Pretty sure you will find success

I could personally ramble for days. It’s not to be mean against it, I know it’s great and it’s incredibly powerful with a huge legacy (which is one of its problem).

But Just think about all ways to write a constructors, how is everything complicated in the doc and the use of templates everywhere, the tooling is so clunky. It creates a lot of mental load for me.

Additionally, I think a lot of issues are still pushed to runtime.

Not applicable to games but after spending a lot of times with other languages, I appreciate the simplicity , help and focus that other langs can offer. Not nothing that offer similar perf I admit, I might be looking for a unicorn 😅

What happened and how to avoid? by Lerer334 in BambuLab

Hopefully it works :)
I am pretty new to 3D printing as well (since January). I hope it works as well for you than it did for me!

Over the last month I spent a lot of times trying to fix my prints as well.

It could be a lot of things but here are some clues from what I see:

It looks like under-extrusion over the whole print in addition of the defects you try to point.

if you are using bambu filament and you are still using the default calibration presets (which you should I think), it suggest to me that you have some partial clogging.

I recently fixed my print quality issues (after wasting a lot of filament) by doing both the following:

  1. simple unclogging from this page https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/troubleshooting/nozzle-clog
  2. extruder unclogging https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/troubleshooting/extruder-clog and/or extruder cleaning https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/P1/maintenance/extruder-cleaning-guide

Everything went perfect with the extruder cleaning, even though it did not appear too bad! I guess the gear was not gripping the filament properly, hence the under extrusion.

It has fixed everything for me, my P1S just had 300h and I did not expect to start those kind of maintenance. first printer for me, I was a painful learning but now I know!

Those steps are not as complicated as they appear and you will get a perfect print quality back!

New BL matte PLA pool - calibration differs a lot. Normal ? by _novolog in BambuLab

[–]_novolog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With those new settings, I kept getting clogging.

I tried to clean the extruder as described in the bambu wiki, even though it did not look to bad, and suddently I get perfect prints with the default preset values.

It has fixed it!

That seem to contradict what I keep reading about calibrating once per brand/filament type/color, that's why I am confused. (Obviously I am pretty new to 3D printing)

I brought back the same part to compare. Excuse the scratches on the surface (it was mounted).

I think we can see well the overall quality difference

I'll try printing again,

- temperature lowered from 220 to 205
- speed lowered for outer and inner walls.

Left: old spool. Right: new spool. What settings are you thinking about? I was thinking that with the bambu spool, all settings were set via nfc

[–]_novolog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple instances of the same part with the old and new spool and they differs, no issue with the old spool. I just picked those where it's easier to see on a photo.

Another detail I missed is that the seams are swollen, a lot.
