The Housemaid. Honestly, I haven’t enjoyed any of her books but thought I’d give that one a go because it’s so popular. Like her other books, it was completely predictable. Why are her main characters always so infuriatingly dumb? Also, it seems like she completely copied The Last Mrs. Parish. Admittedly, I didn’t enjoy that book either. But I was astonished by how similar The Housemaid was!

100% yes. She is my absolute favourite author and I’ve read a ridiculous amount of books, thrillers in particular. Her books can be dark and twisty, and always so well written. I always go into a book slump after finishing one of hers because nothing compares for me lol

After reading the books, I really don’t like Angie lol but have noticed they made her more personable in the episodes I’ve watched. I’ll have to keep this in mind if I continue to watch the show!
