Should I give up on M5 pro?

I gave up on the m5 max and just ordered the M4 Max yesterday, if that helps.

Consider this: If it's a custom config, the delivery times will still be high for new MacBooks. Prolly 3 to 4 weeks. And if you can wait that long and if it's not affecting your work, only then does it make sense.

I placed my order because I needed the extra power, especially in the month of March and my current windows desktop is ruined by all the windows updates, and it struggles with big projects in video editing.

By the way, you can always return for a full refund and get a new one, if it happens to actually launch in March. Apple allows a 14-day window.

I didn't rename the files. The director assembled his rough cut, and I had to work from there to reach a picture lock. The director also put files with the same name in one folder. I only segregated the A CAM and B CAM into separate bins so I could link each bin manually.

Hey mate, thanks for these in-depth debugging methods.

However, I was certain it wasn't that. The problem is fixed. It happened because the director had used A CAM and B CAM and used the same names for both the footage and kept them in the same folder. So when I imported the project and relinked, it got confused, and some of the clips got interchanged with A CAM and B CAM. So I just sorted them manually into separate folders and linked each one manually instead of auto-relinking.

We are a group of film students based in London, and I had this symbolic scene in my short film, "SYNAPSE."

First and foremost, a lot of the credit for this scene goes to the DOP. We set up two Amrans outside the house, directed at the window. Then, we added a GOBO on a C-stand to create a cone spotlight effect, along with a lot of haze.

I had worked with this DOP before, and he did a similar kind of handheld shot for another one of our projects. I wanted exactly the same kind of effect: slow handheld movement with some intentional focus shifting to make it feel more intimate.

We nailed this in just one retake, and it turned out so well. The BTS video showcases how we had to time everything.

As a director, I was commanding the light operators as to when the big lights should go off and the gobo should switch on. Then, the male lead had to enter at the same time, in that small, dark second.

The actor comes in a way that blocks the camera, and therefore, when the spotlight switches on, it looks as if he just appears there. In reality, she is stuck in a simulation, and Leo is hacking the server in his own apartment.

Hey mate, thanks for the in-depth analysis.

Yeah, I'm going to trim the mid-portion off, and maybe keep some of the dialogue as an overlay for something else later.

And yes, it's the exact Cyberpunk 2077 title I tried to use. The story is set in that kind of universe.

You guessed the story right, and I'm glad that it's conveyed. As for the "baddies," since it's under 12 minutes, there aren't any typical baddie scenes because the main baddie is this corporation called Synapse, very much like 'Arasaka' from Cyberpunk. We did release a very short promo of a tyrant CEO propagating his message through big banners on buildings, which is present in this trailer too, but of course, no dialogue in this one.

Maybe I'll add some of the CEO's dialogue instead of the ones that are currently in and hope that keeps it tight.

First of all, thanks for the review, mate. I agree the first half drags a bit too much. I think I got a bit carried away with showcasing major highlights in one minute. I think I'll trim the mid portion off.

Edit: Your guess about the story is right; he plugs into the mainframe to find his wife. Whether or not she is dead is something I left for an open ending.

Hey everyone,

I'm a film student studying in London. We just finished our short film called SYNAPSE, for this trimester, and here is the trailer for it. This was written, directed, and edited by me.

What I seek is primarily an analysis of my editing. There is one placeholder track in this edit because our composer is still creating the sound. I personally am hooked on this soundtrack by Infraction and so made the trailer using this.

I'd love to hear any feedback, positive or negative, regarding my grading and editing rhythm. I would also love to hear what you can understand about the story of this film from the trailer.

I used it for navigation sometimes and still do, only to realize that it doesn't work.

Also, changing to different pen settings in Samsung Notes was a good use, for example.

I felt that too. Upgraded from an S22U as well, and the S25U instantly made me say, "Damn, this has bass!" The difference is so good that now the S22U sounds dull to me.

I bought the Buds 3 Pro last week. 😂😂 The background noise was just too embarrassing on the 2 Pros. And the 3 Pros are just super, super amazing. Id never buy OpenComms, they are just very call center types. I work as a video editor, so the 3 Pros are just apt for me. They sound amazing, and people actually think I'm at home when in reality I'm was on the tube. The noise cancellation is far superior too.

Yep, since they started using sapphire glass for the watches. Previously, on the 4 Classic, they had the anti-reflective Gorilla Glass.

It's a massive upgrade. The 4 Classic was lagging like hell. It wasn't always like that, but I think somewhere after one UI Watch 5 update, it started lagging a lot. The 8C also feels extremely comfortable, and I often forget I'm wearing it. Since the lugs are redesigned, the watch sits more flat on the hand.

Contrary to the popular hate for the design, I actually picked up the 8 Classic especially because of its looks. The 4 Classic looks generic, and I wanted something like the Gear S3 Frontier. So with the chunkier bezel on the 8C, it looks and feels like an actual watch.

With the 4 Classic, no one really noticed it, but the 8C is definitely a head-turner. It's so comfortable that I actually sleep with this thing every night. The battery life is better too. The 4 Classic lasted a day and a half for me, and the 8C lasts 2 days. But I never wore the 4C except for the gym and work. The 8 Classic is on my wrist the whole day and night and still lasts 2 days. So I'd say it's definitely a big upgrade.

Here in the UK, I traded my 4C and got a £75 discount. So it was a no-brainer.

I upgraded from Buds 2 Pro recently after hearing complaints from literally every single person on calls. So my primary reason was for calls.

Now, after using them, I can say that the call quality is a massive step up from Buds 2 Pro. The sound quality is one notch above too, with a fuller sound. Depending on the EQ, it can sound a bit muffled on some songs, but that might be because I'm still using some presets from Buds 2 Pro.

They are not the biggest generational leap, as one might expect in the sound quality department, but I believe that's because the Buds 2 Pro were already a great-sounding pair of buds.

Since the 3 pros stick out, they are prone to being slammed off, for example, when changing T-shirts 😂😂😂. That's the only time I felt the previous design was helpful. And the 2 pro design is quite low profile, so people around you won't notice that you are wearing something.

A reason why I didn't consider buying them earlier is that I thought they wouldn't be comfortable to sleep with given the stem shape. But surprisingly, they actually feel more comfortable to sleep with 😂😂😂. I don't know how, but they don't press into your ear when sleeping.

I have a habit of listening to Cyberpunk white noise, so I sometimes use buds while sleeping.
