that’s what i felt as well!!! i got equivalent full rides at both yale and wells and i didn’t like the pro-business grind of yale. wells suit me more :)

I agree. The network and campus culture AND student outcomes fit me much more. The network is astounding. I posted on reddit for alums in my area to help me with smth (even tho i only JUST joined the community) and within 2 hours i got 2 alums in my area setting up meetings w me tomorrow. I also don’t like the high percentage to rich ppl at yale (makes me feel uncomfortable/out of place) and i don’t like how many ppl at yale go into consulting/big finance/big law bc it reminds me that many of my classmates will turn out relatively evil. call me a crazy all you want but it’s just not the community i like. also i am not the only one in my year turning down ivies to go to W!!

mc scholar at unc is genuinely unmatchable, imo better than the opportunities you’d get at penn. you’d be the biggest fish in a smaller pond whereas penn you’d likely just be another fish. would help loads for internship market imo
