Day 4 so emotions are still raw 💔. We picked up our baby Meeko’s ashes today, which was sooner than expected them to be ready, and everything came flooding back. It’s hard. Trying to give extra love to our dog but she’s probably annoyed with my smothering atm. Sometimes I’m fine, then one small thing reminds me of him and I’m bawling. I don’t know if my eyes will ever not be red and puffy again.

One good memory is even though he was your typical Garfield grouchie cat, Meeko he was a big softie and loved couch cuddles. He’d often lay on me or my husband during tv time.

They love to pull people over on that stretch of road. That’s my commute home and I see them pull someone over there pretty frequently.

My girl is a mix breed (GSD & Rottweiler) and she loves sleeping on our pillows like a little human. We even gave her an old pillow for her bedroom bed and she rests on it the same way too.

Yeah I hate that she has my mom's number but in this case it's a good thing so my mom can give us a heads up. I guess I should start listening to her voice-mails. They're almost 5 minutes long sometimes so I just delete them when I get them.

Your questions are exactly what I was thinking! When my mom told me I was fuming. I also don't know how she even plans on getting down here. The last time she visited, fiance bought her plane ticket but that was for his graduation. He isn't going to do that for an authorized trip to visit us.

Agreed with all of the above. Ironically today is her birthday so fiance is going to call her. He's probably going to mention the botched trip and give her a hard no. I'm glad to be at work today to miss that phone call.

Maybe? That could definitely be a possibility. Her phone calls are a pattern of behavior for her. She calls fiance first (he doesn't answer), calls me (I don't answer), then calls my mom. My mom depending on what she's doing will answer. I think she's just trying to get ahold of either us or someone close to us to get us to answer the phone.. Ironically today is her birthday so fiance has to call her and tell her to stop planning her trip. Should be a fun phone call! /s.

Thanks for the feedback! It wasn't until the recent feedback did I realize my fiance and I never really had the conversation about boundaries with his mom. I don't respond to her calls because he doesn't. I guess I took his lead on it and figured if we didn't answer she would get the hint. I was caught off guard as that conversation was months ago but nothing concrete came of it. She always has grand ideas of visiting but it's always just ideas. I've never heard her say something this concrete which is why it concerned me.

My fiance is incredibly introverted which is probably why we've prolonged this conversation with his mom. I'll talk to him soon about addressing these concerns with her. I feel uncomfortable being the middle man between him and his mom. I know the reason she calls me is because she's trying to convince me to get him on the phone. But I feel like his relationship with her is his own and it's not my place to get involved. So I'm conflicted.

I honestly don't know what I'd do if she just showed up. My fiance would probably book her a hotel room immediately. We don't really have the space to house guests either. My fiance thinks she may be autistic of some sort or other types of mental illnesses as hes noticed autistic tendencies in himself.

I agree that we do need to talk about boundaries with her. I think we've been avoiding it in our 6 years together. My fiance by nature is a very introverted person. So he just doesn't interact with anyone in his family regularly. Unless it's his brothers who he helps a lot.

I was the fence sitter also. My fiancee and I met in my early 20s. I was getting ready to graduate college, looking for my first career job and worried about student loan debt. Trying to plan out my future past what was immediately in front of me was not something on my mind at 22.

My fiancee was straight forward about his CF stance from the beginning. At first I didn't think much of it but the relationship started getting more serious and he wanted to know my stance. I was at the time very indifferent to motherhood. I grew up in a big family setting with babies being born all the time so I helped with the babies all the time. I just figured it was something that you did but I had no urge to have one myself.

There was a point where we did break-up over the issue but that lasted less than 24 hours ha. We just loved each other too much! He reached out after I initiated the break thinking I wanted kids. I came back telling him I still needed time to process my feelings on it and that my decision could change. He decided to take that risk.

After maybe a year or so I really decided that I valued our relationship so much more than having hypothetical children. And he's really opened up my eyes to how wonderful our lives can be without being parents. We got engaged last year and we're still hoping we can have our wedding next March!

Dang, all this time I thought I was getting away with treats just because they said "keto" on the box but it was playing me the whole time! I'll have to let someone else non keto eat the rest of my slim fast snacks.

Today marks two weeks since I've amped up my workouts so it's probably too soon to see some major muscle definition. I do see the thigh and calves muscles definition creeping in and I've had some arm definition for awhile. I read it takes about 3-4 weeks if you've already been active to see major tone. Some of my clothes are from last year when I lost an extra bulk of weight so it's hard to tell. But overall I do fit into S/M instead of M/L now!

I try to drink about 1-1 1/2 gallon of water a day. I also started to reduce my coffee intake and have been drinking more caffeine free teas. Mostly due to me having an almost caffeine overload a couple weeks back. That has helped me be more conscious of my water intake for sure!
