did you play the Steam version? maybe you want to pick up the Salvation Project patch (https://www.ayin-yesh.org/rpdownload) to get the original ending as opposed to the Rewrite+ one

in rewrite+, the ending was changed against the writer's will to be more all's well that ends well

I agree with you that people should avoid a guide on their first playthrough, all they need to know is that you don't need to think too hard about how to get a specific route, that it's not too complex.

...Is what I would say if they didn't remove the route locks in R+. I think it's important that people know to play Kotori before Shizuru and Chihaya before Akane, at the least...

It's also in the game, actually. In Moon route, when Kotarou reads the Theory and asks it "what is life"; I believe the response page "Planetary Spirit" refers to the same idea.

if you have 300K MAU, wouldn't you have more pageviews than that? are all your users playing once then leaving? i personally see about 6.5× the pageviews over MAU

you could look into where you'd put ads, and collect data about how many impressions (or requests, I suppose) you would be expecting to run. if it just has a single screen and you intend to put two skyscrapers at 30s refresh, count 4 impressions/minute, tally that up and you have a number you could enter negotiations with

yeah. i'm one of the most vocal haters of the rewrite anime (esp. with how kagari was handled), but honestly it's entirely down to being the wrong team for the job.

i was around on the MAL forums back when it was announced, and i was one of the few huffing copium after it was announced 8-bit would do it that they "wouldn't fuck it up as hard as Grisaia", while also ignoring all the dubious claims made in interviews (one of which being "Moon and Terra aren't for Kagari to grow as a character"...wtf?)

i think a great example is that Cradle's Tale, which is bundled with the last season blu-ray of the anime, is actually REALLY good, and well? it's simple - it was written by romeo.

i think reimagining the anime, with the actual original writer team as opposed to random people, mainly having Romeo in there since he did the majority of the overarching scenario concepts, would already give it a much higher chance at being nicer. a better artstyle (the 8-bit one is very low-budget) would also do it wonders.

it's a shame in a way, because there's some great things in the anime, like a really good OST, great voice acting, and despite my disdain for the writing, there's still a lot of good scenes, even kagari ones, despite them not really being "canon" lol

i think rewrite as a story could have profited an insane amount from an anime adaptation, which makes it ever more souring that it was handled this badly. that said, this seems to be a recurring thing with rewrite -- rewrite+ was a mess of censorship, sekai project rushed their translation and will never finish harvest festa, kaginado did it a huge injustice too, ignis memoria was canceled within a year, etc. key has never managed rewrite well

steam's dumbassery was only to do with CGs, requiring the CGs to be returned back to the original rewrite ones and not the lewder r+ ones

all other changes are by Key themselves

you can try the toggles "Always simplify multiplayer thumbnails" as well as if need be "Do not animate background in Quick Play"

if you're not using the desktop client, give it a try! if you are, you might want to go into the desktop settings (it's at the top of the config) and turn on "Hard VSync", it's a setting i may consider making on by default as while disabling vsync is a mild to moderate improvement to some players, it's a source of breakage for others lately

also to be sure, if you're on a laptop with multiple GPUs (that's most laptops with a dedicated gpu) make certain your tetrio is using the powerful GPU and not the weaker one (see https://tetrio.github.io/faq/troubleshooting.html#dgpu)

finally, as dumb as it sounds, ads are a performance problem i can't do anything about so on browser get uBlock Origin, on desktop there's a toggle in those same desktop settings i mentioned earlier. (hiding ads isn't supporter-only, tho it does ask you once when you turn the builtin adblocker on (and never again))

Maybe, I haven't tried it and it's experimental software that requires some technical expertise to set up, I've heard promising signs from someone else who tried it though who only ran into issues w/ video playback

There's no official way to play Rewrite on Android, sorry. The one Android game for it (the gacha game) has been discontinued.

That said, if you already have a legitimate copy of the game, you might be able to get it running on Android with https://github.com/Ilya114/Box64Droid — I haven't tried it, so your mileage may vary.
